Re: Keaton Batman

I thought Les was done on the Joker head run?

He might offer it again. He did a Hicks head once. There was enough demand that he did another run. he might be a little burned out on the Joker right now, but in a few months he might think differently.

Re: Keaton Batman

While we're waiting for v.4 I thought I'd post this picture of some rough-and-ready Keaton & Nicholson kitbashes I did, using 90's toys. Batman is a Kenner Bruce Wayne plus hood on a Toy Biz body, with the left arm replaced by a Thunderwhip Batman arm; The Joker is a Kenner Dark Knight collection Joker head (which I personally thought had a great sculpt!) and a repainted 'Batman & Robin' animated series 'machine gun' Joker. I loved the Dark Knight collection vehicles but it never managed the kind of Batman and Joker figures I wanted to see - these are more like what I would have wanted.

Re: Keaton Batman

does anyone have the email address how do i order one and how much is it

Shawn's user name is SovereignStudio zeelhar. If you haven't already gotten ahold of him you could send him a pm. And if your thinking about changing your mind, don't, it's an awesome custom figure.

Re: Keaton Batman

What number are you on the list? Congrats on yours shipping. I wonder when mine will ship...

Re: Keaton Batman

well, just checked some old posts, looks like guyver1 got on the list at around p. 145 in march. that's waaaaaaaaay after me and plasmid (around december i think). so hopefully we're both going to be seeing email notifications soon too. if not, something is very wrong with that list.

Re: Keaton Batman

My patience has finally been rewarded : Mister Batman arrived.
Very happy with it - all ends well - thank you Shawn :)

Re: Keaton Batman

Photos will follow later - I have just lent my camera to a friend

I ordered one with the non rubber head, which was the actual version when I placed the order (because I think this version has more detail in the sculpt)
The figure has rubber boots - so the ankles can be bend-posed which is cool.
The legs seems to be less bulky - looks more in proportion
Gloves and chest plate are also from rubber.
So it is kind a combination of the updated and the old version.

I was loosing interest (long wait and people who came in later on the list received theirs before me), but all I can say is to hang on , the figure is well worth it.
Trust me.

Re: Keaton Batman

Glad to hear you got it and are happy amarcord... I knew you'd dig him. And it sounds like you got the best of both worlds figure :rock

Re: Keaton Batman

Anyone hear of a Japanese statue of the Keaton Batman, around 12 inches high,
made by a company called Xfacto?

Re: Keaton Batman

It's been a real Cocopalooza year for you, hasn't it?

Better than most "paloozas" I've experienced, that's for sure.:D

I've gotten three of the best 12'' renditions of two of the characters from one of my favorite films ever and they keep rolling in. :rock

Bob is only a few tweaks away and Bruce Wayne should be here by June, Les is working on a Napier sculpt and after that who knows. I might make Alfred. How about Lawrence the Goon or even another Joker version. Mime Joker!

1989 Batman is definitely my element and I've enjoyed this 1:6 Burton trip a lot so far.
It makes it even better being able to enjoy it with people like you pjam and Gboy, Les, Wor-Gar, DekDave(may he rest in Freak's forum peace)and all the others that have shown an interest in Shawn's Batman and other '89 Batman related figures. :rock :rock
