Re: Keaton Batman

NOPE!! My passion for making Batmans is NOT fading :D In fact, it's been stronger than ever. That's why these are dragging a bit. I've been committed (obsessed?) with the idea of doing the full rubber bodysuit. I've been putting A LOT of time into trying to get it right, but it just doesn't seem feasible, at least not in this scale:monkey2 If the suit is too thick, you lose articulation. If it's too thin it's not durable. And either way, it screws up the hip articulation; his ability to raise his legs up. The rubber just stretches over his butt and the leg snaps back like a rubber band.

Sorry these are dragging and going out so late, I REALLY wanted this to work. I'm sticking with the tried-and-true Lycra so can get these out to you guys. It's tough, making improvments in the middle of an order run. But usually it's worth it in the end. This time, it just isn't working. This rubber suit is my new white whale, it will haunt me until I get it right someday. And it's sort of your fault, too :D Seriously though, your appreciation of my past improvments has been really motivational and inspiring.

Terribly sorry to hold things up, guys. Sometimes I get a bit too obsessed with making stuff as awesome as it can possibly be.

Re: Keaton Batman

shawn, you are a total dude. i had no idea you were still working so hard on improving this fig, especially when it was so perfect at v3. i really do appreciate the work. i just panicked as i hadn't heard anything for a while and the thread was kinda dying too so i wasn't able to get my fix on new pics. excellent to hear your passion is as great as ever. i only doubted you for a second, honest.

Re: Keaton Batman

Don't worry about any delay Shawn, I really appreciate the obvious passion you're putting into this project. And hey, if my v.4 ends up not being an improvement on the previous three versions, that'll be because it's not possible to improve on perfection!

Re: Keaton Batman

i have a couple batman figures with the whole rubber look. and they are really limited. its like a basic stance is all you get. which is cool still. BUT its nice to have the look and articulation of at least one ( or 2 or 3 cough! *coco* ) in your collection. keep up the always insanely awesome job shawn.

Total shelf Rocker! And there are a few Nicholson Joker's still floating around, talk about an eye popper. With those two as a display set, you are in Bat heaven. Just ask Coco, he has gone to Bat Heaven this year. I highly recommend a Les Joker head too. I have the drippy one, it's pretty insane in person.

I thought Les was done on the Joker head run?
