That sucks. :(

It sucks even more that SW decided to apologize only becuz Smith is famous...but us ordinary people get nothing.

Psh! All he got was an apology and a $100 voucher..... I think they should've given a LOT more than that, because now LOTS of people are going to know about this since Kevin is pretty popular and is a celebrity.

...But when your size begins to inconvenience others... prepare to deal with the consequences. Obese people should have to pay for 2 seats. I have to buy a second seat for my child, because I chose to have children. So you can buy a second seat for half your ass because you choose to eat 16 cheeseburgers every day. All's fair...

But as one of the web sites mentioned, you are "booking passage" on the airline for one person, and that is how the airlines sell tickets, per person... they don't charge by volume or weight unless it is freight... and that is exactly what Southwest is doing... treating passengers as freight! If they are going to start charging certain groups of people for being too large or weighing too much, then they better start giving discounts to people who don't take up much space or don't weigh much... All's fair as you say! :D

Oh, trust me... he would have _____ed and whined regardless. All the dude does now is constantly yap about himself on Twitter and make crummy movies.

I'd be down for that! :lecture

He strikes me as a big ball of ego without the actual talent to justify it.

:lecture

He's STILL yapping about it on Twitter. Constant tweets since yesterday. And I mean constant... in the hundreds. Last one was just a minute ago.

Between this and his way-too-detailed-and-personal tweets about his sex life with his wife (who's not nearly as hot as he thinks and boasts, by the way) I can't take it anymore. I am no longer following his hack ass.

If he starts making decent movies again I may reconsider.

You guys should read the comments attached to the CNN article on their website. Damn people are brutal. :horror

If a 360 pound person has to pay for two seats, does that mean that a 90-pound teenage girl only has to pay for half a seat? Hmmmm... ;)

Hopefully he views this as a wake up call and lesson learned to take better care of himself (beats a heart attack) but I doubt he's looking at it like that. Maybe Seth Rogen can give him some tips on shedding the poison.

He should at least get a stylist and try to dress like an adult. A 40-year-old shouldn't be dressing like this. It looks dumb.

A year and a half ago after Z&M came out, he wrote this in his blog:

"I’ve porked the ____ out, man. I’m really, really fat right now. Fattest I’ve ever been. But as soon as this flick’s out, I’m taking my life back; gonna drop out of sight and drop a bunch of pounds. It’s the deal I’ve made with myself. Just gotta make it through the next two and half weeks of press and running around."

Seems he's pushing Marlon Brando, Orson Welles levels of rountundity. Hopefully the dude can get some help.
