You don't seriously think any of us would do anything like that do you?
I would be surprised if I have another DD by July
This is the key point, though. While I think everyone agrees with the first part of your statement, I'm not so sure that it is possible to apply the second part as a blanket rule. In other words, just because someone leads a generally healthy life style, that doesn't mean they will be immune to cumulative effects of even occasional Double Downs/McGriddles/Whoppers. Most people will, but some won't, and they may not find out which group they are in until they are sitting in a doctor's office having their upcoming bypass operation explained to them. The more logical approach is to realize that these foods are completely unnecessary to maintain your body (not to mention ridiculously expensive, when you consider what you actually get versus what you could purchase in groceries), and just pass on them.Yes, someone who consistently eats unhealthily is more likely to eat a Double Down/McGriddle/Wopper, but it's not as if an individual who normally eats healthily is going to keel over from eating one of these - nor will they shorten their lifespan one day as long as they, for the most part, stick to their healthy lifestyle.
Lard is not better for you than vegetable oil. It is better than some vegetable oils, and it is better than any hydrogenated oil (aka vegetable shortening). But, as I mentioned in my previous post, even saying that it is "better" is a very misleading statement (refer to the .45 versus .22 caliber pistol analogy).
DO IT! Lets try the experiment.
We'll see what it does to your system. Come on brave soldier. In Schneider's voice, "You can do it!"
And Eli will eat nothing but 3 heads of iceburg lettuce a day right along with you.
And Ween ...
No, I won't go there, or is it too late? lol
I KID!
I am amazed this sandwich garnered enough attention to reach 50 pages in a thread.

Have you had one yet?
It is really, really, really, salty... like, to a fault.
In terms of taste though that's the only fault.
Almost seemed more salty than the usual recipe.
