Wow. I am going crazy or something. I thought a major problem with Qui-Gon was he was on the regular size body? Am I misremembering that? So if swapping to Qui-Gon body makes Ki Adi taller, then Ki Adi was on the short body to start?

Also, great Qui-Gon custom Anzik, did you have to alter the tunic to make is fit SSC?

So rather than add a new hand now they just gave us the same two repainted :lol The original explanation doesn't seem to hold up so well now

Thats what I was thinking. Kit you can say was an oversight, but passing oversight on to a 2nd figure because the 1st figure was overlooked is kinda lazy.

Thanks, Prog. Nope, no altering just a little folding in the back to tighten the costume a bit, but I think he looks more accurate. The tabbards are just a little too wide though whereas SSC's are a little too narrow.

And Qui Gon is on the tall body. When I made my TPM Obi Wan I used the short body and the side by side with Qui Gon is pretty much perfect scale.

Both are so nice looking. Great repurposing of the SSC Qui-Gon stuff. Do you intend to try to lighten the Obi-Wan robes a bit?

I actually still like the Hasbro Qui-Gon a lot, but it is a bit too doll like.

Can't believe the Qui-Gon came on a tall body, its been so long, all my various criticisms over the years are mixing together. :lol

I remember at one point not liking Anakin's height, but when I got your mustafar dio I posed him next to the Sidious for the first time and he towers over Sids.

No, I've pretty much decided that this costume will do fine until SSC makes their version.

The Hasbro Qui Gon was pretty good but the joints on mine were very loose. Plus, Oluf's sculpt is a great representation of Neeson. The hair is a pain and someday I may try and modify it like some others have done. Les made the most incredible rework I've seen. It really almost seems like a photo of the actor.

Mundi made his way to the (now frozen) north....

Haven't really had a lot of time to snap many shots of him (this is my first night off from work in almost two months...been real busy!), but I futzed him up a bit and snapped this quick one.

He's a good addition to the Order of the Jedi, but as others have mentioned, he's very light on accessories (no extra hands, no Jedi gear outside the sabers and a shoulder bag).

Tim Miller's work is amazing here and the paint apps are fine on the one I received. Didn't notice the intense redness under the eyes like others have gotten and he's not as shiny as some shots have shown. And yes, he's on the Buck. He took quite a bit of futzing with the clothes to get a good look going, but once done, he's looking pretty cool.

I'll tryn' get some outdoor shots over the weekend to add...

With all this snow around the country it makes you want some snow troopers or some snow clones (LOL) for Ki Adi and Mygeeto.

Indeed! It sure does. Now more than ever, I wish Sideshow would announce some Hoth-inspired characters!

We're expecting some more white stuff tomorrow, so I'm going to attempt some Mygeeto-influenced shots of Mundi...

Look forward to your shots, not the other part.

The more photos I see, the more I come to realize the boots look small because the costuming is so top heavy. Waist down is minimal and his top has a few layers to it that bulk it up. It's the character costume design the really toys with the eye.

looking good in the snow man.:rock
i'm tempted to try this myself but i dont want the neighbors looking out at me and wondering what the hell i'm doing.:lol

Nice shots, Craw.

Thanks....I gave up ages ago worrying about what the neighbors think, especially considering that mine just put Santa hats and red bows on her stone lions near her front door....I figure me playing with my dolls in the snow can't trump that... :lol

I just bought a black buck fig to throw Ki adi onto. I will use his short body to use on my Jedi Luke.

A black buck? If you mean, Maul's, he is on a short body too. Or did you mean...brown body?

Though I think the moniker "African American" is lame because its an anonymous body. He could be British, Canandian, or French or Russian or..... etc.

Tru dat!
You arent worried about the arms being darker than Ki's hands?
