I went back and looked at the KA shield blank and had to edit my previous post, on here it does look like it's aluminum. Yet the silver rings on the final product don't look the same, came out too matte, so could be a paint or finish issue.

Wow, these look pretty good. I can't wait to get a metal Cap shield. Although, when time comes for its shipment to North America, it will likely get delayed due to the common "container stuck at the port" issue.

Not sure what you are looking at... but it looks aluminum to me.

Looks really nice, glad I got a PO in on it.

Where do you mean? It looks like the shield is aluminum and the screws holding the leather straps in are typical stainless steel.

Wow I'm not a fan of the paint there at all. It just looks super cheap to me and looks more like a plastic shield.
