They dialed back the gloss on the original. The race for nicer looks/pop might actually be closer against the EFX shield.

I want to see the weathering on the battle damaged version. That's where they will really get a chance to show what they can do.

This. Looks. Awesome.

I'm back in this. Keeping both of my orders....for now. :lol

Blows the eFx out of the water, IMO.

I think many will jump back in and out in the next few weeks until the first set of in hand pics show out of China.

For some reason I have this feeling that the eFX version will have duller colors for the sake of accuracy.

Looking fantastic with the gloss dialed down. Would definitely be jumping back in if I hadn't committed to the custom route.

Would like to see the finished arc too. How much was that retailing for again?

$400, but it comes with that pointless chip box. They should've just sold the arc for $250-300.

What is the rush? Are they limited editions or are you referring to the fact that King Arts is not licensed to sell in the USA and that BBTS will run into a snag importing them?

stop with your nonsense man. XM studios isn't allowed either, but bbts gets them in just fine. You act like there is a statue police waiting to get their hands on the shipment.

And so long as King Arts uses a middle man to sell to bbts, just like xm does, then no licenses or laws are being broken. There is no US embargo on these things... The license only says that king arts and xm can't sell direct to the us. What others do with it is fair game.

I am visiting Hong Kong for x'mas and decided to go to the King Arts retail store to check out a couple items I have on order. I have to admit, I only took a quick look (couple minutes total in the store) and decided to cancel the Arc Reactor and Wall Mount Cap shield. The Arc Reactor looked like plastic instead of metal, I can see it few feet away as soon as I walked into the store. As for the shield, it looks ok, but the wall mount looked very cheap, no where near the official product screen shots, it looked like plastic instead of wood. I would go for the pedestal version if I really want it. But these items just aren't exciting/nice enough for me to start collecting new line.
