Saw it again today. I was tired. But today I saw the film Khev and jye saw......

Bummer...

I was actually tempted to say that I saw it again too and loved it just so we could keep debating, lol. I guess we're more or less in agreement on this one then.

Last year I was the one who apparently was in the right state of mind (or out of my mind) to enjoy ID4 2 but after reading what everyone hated about it I haven't dared watch it again because I'm pretty sure I'll think "how the hell did I enjoy this crap..."

Oh yes if I had to pick I'd definitely revisit Kong over ID4, no question.

I've had no desire to revisit ID4-2 considering I thought it was crap. Haven't heard a peep out of the supposed sequel(s).

I regret not walking out of ID4-2.

In my defense that was the day I walked out of the ID4-2 auditorium and then immediately watched The Shallows. The buzz I felt after TS must have completely disallowed any of the stupidity of ID4 to settle in my mind. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Caw, just remembered the videogame battle against the Queen where you half-expected to see an energy bar in the top right corner of the screen. They just shot lazers at her until her exo-suit gave out. It was a snoozefest. I also wish I'd walked out as a display of contempt!

It's Ok.. We have all been there... I enjoyed Skyline (if that is what it was called) so we have all been sucked into enjoying stinkers

I'll tell you what though while Skyline might suck and suck it does BUT that Stealth Fighter / Drone attack scene is much better than anything from ID4-2.

If I like a movie a lot the first time I see it, it takes a lot for me to change my mind. PJs Kong is one of few instances where I just lost love for the movie. when it came out, I was just excited about the idea of a new Kong and I was only 21, it was exciting what CGI opened up. Now I have a different awareness of what I want out of characters in sequels, prequels and remakes since that's all that's done today. PJ's Kong is cool but almost the Godzilla 98 of Kong depictions for me.

I saw Kong a second time and actually enjoyed it more. Not exactly sure why. I was more aware of all its failings the second time through, but I guess since I knew what to expect, I could just enjoy it for what it was.

I love alien invasion movies but even I stayed away from Skyline, Battle L.A., and whatever that movie was about the invisible aliens attacking people in Moscow.

Both Skyline and Battle LA were better films then ID4-2... So they might sneak into your top 10

Saw it again today. I was tired. But today I saw the film Khev and jye saw...... I still enjoyed the monsters (much more then jye) but the characters were much more annoying in their uselessness. You could have taken Hiddlson and Larson out of the film and it would not have impacted the plot at all. I still liked JC Reilly but since everyone around him was a horror was like he was in aone man show. SLJ was still good but the really should have given at least two more soldiers some more character and just let the rest be monster food and give them no speaking parts. Just too many one note soldiers. I also laughed at the fact that the Asian girl survived. I almost forgot she was in the film. Yet another character who just took up screen time from the others. Granted I was tired but I am man enough to admit when I am wrong. PJ' s Kong is better. I would say G14 is better made but equally boring. But who knows ? Perhaps when I see this on Bluray andI am wide awake I will find this much better again like my first viewing.
