Wow, what a DUMB exclusive accessory....... WHY NOT THE CRYSTAL SKULL?!?!?!

Like someone said, Indy looks like he needs a cane.... I don't know why SS didn't attempt a TOD Indy, with the shredded shirt. That would have been a bullseye IMO.

So any guesses on the ES? I find it hard to believe that there'd be as many of these as Raiders Indy.

Somewhere in the 15-25 range would be a good move.

This is quite possibly one of the worst PF'sSideshow has ever done. That cro magnon forehead is just atrocious. Ughhhh.....I will DEFINITELY be passing on this one. And even if I were entertaining this, no crystall skull????!!? Sideshow! Come on!!

I usually can find something positive about a piece, but man, after seeing Trevor's awesome unpainted sculpt and then the pics of the painted proto piece... WTF?! The paint apps literally nuked it. I don't even see Ford anymore. It looks like that actor Lane Smith:

I'm going to order this indy but I don't understand what's problem with skull. It should be something wrong with that. SS shouldn't make a simple mistake like this.

I'm beginning to think that some of the Sideshow staff have been replaced by Visitors.

They don't tend to repeat themselves and a 1:4 crystal skull was already done for the Best Buy exclusive KOTCS DVD.

Yeah thanks , and that is exactly my point they might not be able to manufacture it again. Remember this IS Lucas holding the reigns.

Just a guess, there must be some good reason why the skull wouldn't be the EX yet would be included (though discretely in the base).

What's with the dirt covered alien Skull at his feet? Does SSC have an agreement with Best Buy that they get the only Crystal Skull?

And its hard not to roll my eyes at this little blurb:

Essence? Are screen accurate earth tone colors that hard to shoot for?

Anyway, initial dissappointments aside, I love KOTCS and really want an Old Indy PF to compliment the guaranteed TOD Indy PF to come. Its a dead-on likeness and I actually do think the base is quite cool since it technically does have the Skull half buried in it. Preordered the Ex but might end up going with the Regular instead.

For those who don't know, the Skull at the base is a Native Skull.
They bound there babies heads so they would be shaped like the inter-dimensional beings.

Look its simple. They know most people are going to be able to talk themselves or their wives(remember those?) into two versions of the same character at the most when its this price. When the costume isn't very differant anyway. We know this wasnt to hold us over while they worked on something more complex, as reflected by the poll asking us which we'd like to see next.

So why not release this now, and get the people who aren't sure if they'll make it to something like a ToD version.

Honestly if this was the ToD version, that'd be it for me, I wouldnt even consider a LC or CS Indy no matter how good it looked. Not all of us live in our parents basement, I have to justify to the others living with me, why theres not one, but 2 or 3, 18" Harrison Fords sitting around.

But rather then this, they should have done Mola Ram or Henry Sr. for filler.

Now we may not see another Indy PF period.

We really don't though, SS has been known to use those polls more as an internal confirmation as opposed to holding a public poll for what they should begin working on.

In that case the polls BS to make it look like they care what we want. Because if they already have a Henry Sr. half finished and money invested, they won't just scrap it to do something totally new we vote for. I doubt it anyway, theyd lose alot of money from the R&D and paying sculpters, tailors etc.

Perhaps, or they are working on more than one of the choices, and polling to see what should come next.

I think you are so right. I remember one of the first polls about what Expanded Universe Star Wars figure WE wanted. It was Mara Jade all the way until the last day or two when Padme shot to the top of the indicator graph at an 85 degree angle for the win, and then all we got was Illum Padme. I called BS on that.

I love the pose, myself, but he does look like he's letting one slip. Would have gotten this, but I don't see Ford in that at all.
