I don't know why you guys keep defending the sculpt. WE AGREE WITH YOU
! Nobody here is denying the sculpt is awesome and a dead-on likeness. What we're saying is that the paint pretty much destroyed it.

Sideshow needs to learn how to produce these PF sculpts in that flesh tinted resin to give them the realistic look something at that scale should have.
I'm curious as to know how you know this? I don't think you can take the poll as anything more than research.
Then it really wouldn't have mattered for you no matter what they'd be doing. I personally want one from each film to show Indy's progression through the years. As far as people living at home and taking a crack at people like me. That's pretty ^^^^ty of ya. Probably something you should probably keep your mouth shut on. You don't know why some of us are doing that.

A s***y paint job can ruin any sculpt. Sideshow is very good at that.

Sorry Keith the sculpt is their even in the painted version. Looking at the raw sculpt and painted I still see it. The first one is damn nice and at least 4 me as is this one.

Well judging soley on the list of people you just took on, I have to say your the only one that seems to be excited about this release Josh. Which is fine, Im hoping this license holds out a little longer.
As to living at home, I dont care why your there, the point I made if you werent so desperately looking for a fight, was that you have more space then someone like me. However may I suggest if its a financial issue, spending $300 on a PF may not be the best idea. If you live there becasue you take care of your parents then why get offended?
And who are you to judge as you love to say, if I would or wouldnt buy another PF, I've been saying all along were it a ToD version, I'd have bought it in a second.
It seems your desperate to defend this piece and I just don't get why? I can understand if you wanna buy it and you like it, but the fact is there is alot wrong with it that can't be justified to the rest of us.

Ok. One item. How about all together.
I've passed on a lot of items. Thank ya very much. Even with my stuff from BBTS (which is balanced out cause of store credit) I've got more HT items on order than SS items. I've never said SS can do no wrong. Not once have those words come out of my mouth (so to speak) on this board. I've on more than one occasion said I don't like things SS done or products they've put out. So not sure where that line of thinking comes from other than for those that want to ^^^^^ about me to ^^^^^.
I ordered this cause I think it looks nice as I said. With my collecting the way it has to be now I'm only getting items that really are must haves. This for me based on how much I love the series and the character is a must. Plus I really liked KOTCS so that helped me as well.

Then dont make that comment. All it does is piss people off as it comes off like a jab at them. I'm not looking for a fight but I'll say something if I feel an uncalled for shot is taken. Trust me I doubt I have more space than you do.
No not desperate at all. I'm just game for a discussion thats all. I'd be more than willing to say many of you are desperate to dislike it cause its not what you wanted. I think in the end this will come out looking quite nice and making a fine addition to those that buy it.
Well, I'm usually pretty spot on.

Thats the thing, its not just that we wanted a differant version more.
Its that SS didnt take the time to even make this one right. I keep saying it, but the belt is wrong, the holster, the whole outfit is just the same from the Raiders one. And the base for the exclusive is being reused from the DVD skull, and the overall pose is uncomfortable.
Its all that, IMO, mistreatment of the license by SS, that makes me angry because I hold them above the Hasbros and Gentle Giants.
Its called a Premium Format. Premium says it all, your paying the higher price for quality but they missed the mark. Therefore alot of us wont pay that price just in the hopes it will lead to more, better figures down the road becasue we already went through that with Hasbro, and at the same time were dissapointed it may not sell well because we do want more.
Hasbro showed us Raiders wave two with Toht, German Mechanic, Marion, we went yes! We love it, we want it! They said buy the ToD wave through the holidays and we'll release it and they didnt even though ToD sold even beyond their own expectations. Then they said we werent a big enough fan base for online exclusives like Mattel does, even though we were big enough for a weekly Q & A session. Im afraid with the current poll and possiblity of the line dieing with poor releases like Belloq, German Indy and now this, means SS could be setting themselves up for the exact same thing. As a fan I hold the ability for them to continue this license above just squeezing out one more Indy because they already had everything they needed to make it.

The holster looking at a still does need to be changed as does the strap to his bag. The rest looks fine. I could care less if they reuse the base on the Ex item. Hell it matches my CS which is fine by me. The pose looks fine as well and honestly its a PF so I doubt he's going to be worrying about it.
It does say proto though so they may be talking with LFL on this one still. I seriously don't trust them with anything.
It looks sharp to me even with the two issues I have with it. So its looking pretty Premium right now for me for what thats worth. Which won't get you much even with the economy sucking right now.

But it'll get you 2 Hot Toys figures which makes it like comparing roadkill to the Wendy's value menu imo.
