Thats the thing, its not just that we wanted a differant version more.

Its that SS didnt take the time to even make this one right. I keep saying it, but the belt is wrong, the holster, the whole outfit is just the same from the Raiders one. And the base for the exclusive is being reused from the DVD skull, and the overall pose is uncomfortable.

Its all that, IMO, mistreatment of the license by SS, that makes me angry because I hold them above the Hasbros and Gentle Giants.

Its called a Premium Format. Premium says it all, your paying the higher price for quality but they missed the mark. Therefore alot of us wont pay that price just in the hopes it will lead to more, better figures down the road becasue we already went through that with Hasbro, and at the same time were dissapointed it may not sell well because we do want more.

Hasbro showed us Raiders wave two with Toht, German Mechanic, Marion, we went yes! We love it, we want it! They said buy the ToD wave through the holidays and we'll release it and they didnt even though ToD sold even beyond their own expectations. Then they said we werent a big enough fan base for online exclusives like Mattel does, even though we were big enough for a weekly Q & A session. Im afraid with the current poll and possiblity of the line dieing with poor releases like Belloq, German Indy and now this, means SS could be setting themselves up for the exact same thing. As a fan I hold the ability for them to continue this license above just squeezing out one more Indy because they already had everything they needed to make it.

Also w/e happened to the 1:1 indy bust?

:clap:clap

AWESOME LIKENESS:whip :google

Ok this may have been said already but i just jumped over to sideshow to check this out can they please get a new photographer. They have 4 of the same angle of this thing posted. They did this with the German Indy as well. Good lord Sideshow...good lord

It's even more scary that the photos are limited...

up until the high-def pic just posted, which won't help sell this piece at all.

Edit: sorry, I was being too harsh on the likeness. I just don't like it at all.

The more I look at it the body weight seems off. He almost seems like he's about to tip over. The torso should be a little more upright or something, at present he looks like he's trying to fart. Apple looks good though. :duh

And once again, shouldn't the bag strap be on the outside of the jacket for the Kingdom look?

I dn't like the way this sculpt looks at all. Looks like some old man dressed as Indy. Hardly resembles Harrison Ford at all.

:monkey2

I really like the sculpt but hope they get the holster color corrected for the final release. Seem to have gotten the pants the right color this time though. I agree with the pose being a little off. Perhaps having him leaning forward would've been less awkward. Still, happy to put 1950s era Indy on my vine entombed shelf. Now where the hell are the bad guys?

I can see Harrison in there, but there just seems to be something off with the forehead/brow, or maybe it's just my imagination. Regardless I don't think it's a necessity to own multiple PF's of Indy, even if they are from different films. I think the first one is the definitive Indy, and to me it's good enough.

Like I said before though, I can see how it could be cool to have an Indy in his early days and an Indy in his later days displayed together. I still don't think it's a must though, and I just don't understand the Exclusive at all. Where's the crystal skull? :dunno

I can't understand how you guys can't see Harrison?
The stubble looks really good

I put him in black and white if that helps

Maybe because it's obvious from the comparison shots that they made his face look too fat not to mention that huge shylock schnauze and the fedora should sit lower on his brow? :huh
