Is it just me, or is his head too big?:emperor

I do think it looks too big, and I'm usually one of the people who dismisses that criticism. I think it's actually that the body looks too small, but regardless something does seem off to me. Looks good otherwise though.

Yep, Lando and smooth malt liquor will never be separated :rock

I am determined to separate them. Sorry, but I feel that Lando as a character deserves more respect (yes, I said it) than a lot of fans give him. I also feel that it wanders to close to not just stereotyping, but perhaps even racism. The same goes for Mace Windu. Granted, I feel that Sam J. isn't an actor with the greatest range, but Mace is NOT Jules. Sam is NOT Jules. The line between his characters have been blurred, and he's called a Bad MF'er, he's a PIMP, he's the man, he's done up in images as some player with a Jules afro or some disco-era BS around him like a Blacksploitation film.

Lando suffers the same indignation, and just because Sam J. crosses his own streams or because Billy Dee signed your Colt 45 bottle at C4 doesn't mean it's ok. To me, it makes fans look bad. We look dumb if we laugh at crap like that base, predictable, crap.

i really hate to say it but he doesnt look like an 80 fig. sculpt looks good but he looks like another 40 quality figure. easy pass for me

oh there is something wrong alright, but it's not his melon. I'm not quite sure what it is. at first I thought it was his pants, as i recall him wearing pants with a bit more of a ankle flare, kinda like bellbottoms, however the publicity photos are showing me otherwise. Not sure what it is that's throwing it off... but there s something....

I know the '95 Hasbro figure had bell-bottoms. You may be thinking about that figure.

C'mon people the figure won't be limited to only 750. He'll have an exclusive of 750 and then probably around 3,000 for the regular release.

And if you don't like Lando beign released than I suggest you go suck a ^^^^ :lol

750 ex 2500 reg, my guess

Has Sideshow ever disclosed an edition size early for a figure that has an exclusive and a regular version in the past?

Sometimes... but I think now its part of their PPO announcements. Galactus had it, Stormshadow has it.

When I saw Return of the Jedi in theaters in 1983, there were two women sitting next to me and we were having a conversation before the movie started and they both said that they "had no clue or idea what this movie is about , all I know is that Billy Dee Williams is starring in it" :lol...more power to you Mr. Luca$! Cha- Ching!

I think its sad that rascism is even being mentioned by several people. I mean if a guy decides to hire himself out to market a popular brand of anything (is it that popular? I dunno I'm from the UK) to make some money then they need to weather any negative critiscm or piss taking that comes their way - as well enjoy whatever positive criticism and praise that comes of it.

Ewan MacGregor did an aftershave ad - I laughed my damn head off when I saw it and it made me loose a tiny bit of respect for him - but then I s'pose we all gotta make a living and those jobs pay pretty damn well. So I may've done the same given a similar situation.

I dont wanna buy Lando but I'm not a rascist. I have plenty of black figures - ok wait i dont (i sold Mace Windu)... wait I do!... I own a HT Predator 2 figure and that was played by Kevin Peter Hall... that counts right?

See.... me = not rascist. :duh

The head is not too big.

The PRO is too short.

Correct, the head is the same size as previous Sideshow heads and HT heads, the Pro's build is smaller, not just in height, and the head is a bit of a mismatch. Indy's coat and shirt help fill out and change the look, but Lando's not as much. It really is like an HT head and neck on a Medicom RAH body.

:lecture

Hopefully Sideshow answers either my question or Galactiboy's question about future use of the PRO. :date

Wasn't the PRO meant to be easily modifiable for height and other issues? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Modifying the height won't do you any good if the clothing is tailored for a short body.

My Indy and Belloq both have PLENTY of room in the trousers to modify the length of the legs, but no room at all in the shirt or jacket to do anything to the upper body. I think SSC's tailoring historically makes pants pretty long. I know a few of my figures have the old man pants hike going on.
