Legacy AVATAR Neytiri Maquette- Pre-order June 9th

Disappointed. If it was around $900.00 I would get it but not at that horrendous price. This is worth more than what I paid for the Iron-Man and War-Machine maquettes combined and then some.

No matter how you splice it this is just to much for something that doesnt move... I have many figures form Hot Toys that have a light feature and are fully possable and cost only 175... Some would factor in size but when Hot Toys finally dose put out there Avatar line Im sure it will be at least 24" and cost far less then 1600 lights or no lights... My Ironman Mark I is possable and has a light even in the after market when hes hard to find is only worth 650 to 700 at the most...

So i left a comment on the Gallery Preview expressing my disappointment in the price and suggesting that $999.99 would be a better price and that there will be many left in SSC warehouses.

And the comment was removed, i guess SSC doesnt take criticism well, i have little hope the price will go down by thursday now.

The comment on there now is a guy who is "couldn't be happier" to pay $1599.99. Thats not the consensus i've read.

Without a ES of 200 or less this is wayyy over priced.

As for the size, the Berserker Predator Life size bust is way more complex and is 33" H (838.2mm) x 30" W (762mm) x 22" L , which means he can use Neytiri as a toothpick, and cost $1199.

Something for that price needs to be epic, this isn't, she isn't.

Now I'm really happy I have the Neytiri Exclusive Statue I got a few weeks ago. I prefer the pose and the paint job......and of course you can't go wrong at $299 instead of $1600....and I have the extra arm holding the knife....

Lara Croft PF = $350
Destroyer = $500
Predator LSB = $350
Thor PF = $325

Total = $1525

Yeah...I prefer to get those......

Yeah i saw that @ the SDCC that was Awesome statue for $300.00 for EX that is good price and the statue size wise is not that bad at all.

That really puts it into perspective, i mean this Neytiri is one of the most fantastic piecesi've seen but not that much to warrent such a price.

If this is the only thing you are buying for the year, then I can see it. But how many of us can only buy one piece?

Also, the movie hasn't proven itself as having any staying power, IMO, to spend that kind of money on a collectible. Just because it's popular now doesn't mean it will be 3 years from now and when you are tired of your 3ft Neytiri will you be able to recoup the costs? It's a gamble, for sure.

That price is WAY too high for what it is. Sloppy paint job, no acrylic eyes, no silicone, no real hair.....
If it was $1200 I'd probably buy it.
Unless, the ES is REALLY low, which by the looks of things it's an open ES, this will be in-stock for many many years to come.
If Legacy was smart they would have given this maquette to CM. At least then we would have a silicone piece with real hair and a better paint app.
