Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Picked up the droid escape set today at lunch... My wife had me picking up TP and catfood. :D

Great pick up! It's a fun little set.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

If only I had one! :lol I've honestly just started picking up Lego sets over Christmas, so my collection is pretty small. I was thinking it would look cool next to the Landspeeder though.

The Sandcrawler is great! Although I need to replace the batteries in mine since it's been so long since I played with it. Yeah, the Landspeeder will look excellent next to the droids as well. They just need to do a Cantina next, lol!

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

I wish they charged us 5 more bucks and included a Dewback with this release... That cantina set with Greedo and the Dewback goes for some major coin. :( How cool would a few cantina sets be that can all connect? All with a handfull of aliens? :panic:

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Thx, Nick... I'm always left wondering what to spend GCs on that I get for Christmas and my birthday and this year I used them to get the Slave 1, Landspeeder and Snowspeeder/Wampa set. I'd like to do the same this year.

I agree with you 100%. Only 1 set ever released with a Dewback is just sacrilege. I've wanted more Cantina sets ever since that first Cantina set came out. We also need another Tusken Raider set, this time with a Bantha or 2.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Now with that new Jabba set that's going to be coming out with a wide assortment of minifigs, maybe they will do some more sets like that for the Cantina.

And so it has begun...

Figured I'd start small, especially because of this thing called "money". :lol

I have that set..it's a decent one for the price.

Finished the Super Star Destroyer yesterday. I'll post pics this weekend. Next project is this guy:

ROTJ may have been the worst OT movie, but it had some damn good vehicles! :rock

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

I've always loved the Shuttle Tyderium (Imperial Shuttle). It's my favorite ship in all six movies.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Yea, that UCS Imperial Shuttle is awesome. I have it displayed with the wings up at the moment but I luv that you can display it in flight mode too, that's how I usually have it displayed. But my favorite SW ship of all time is the A-Wing and I can't wait to get a UCS set of it. C'mon LEGO, get on that already.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

And the shuttle is on sale too. Free shipping and TC-14 minifigure over $75 and free R2D2 poster with any SW purchase.

I finally bought the Super Star Destroyer. I was balking at buying an expensive set that they had to stuff an exclusive minifigure in to sell, but this discount was decent. Also picked up the last Marvel sets I needed and got a couple more TC-14s.

I still have mixed feelings about the SSD. I'm a scale freak, and it doesn't fit in with the few UC sets I decided to keep (X-Wing, Advanced TIE, MF). I honestly wouldn't have bought it if not for the discount and free stuff/shipping. Which I guess means their marketing ploy worked.
