Ed, yeah the hair restricts his head movement, especially the hair in the back. Man cant wait to see your pics when you get him, i think you will be pleased!

Hey....where is everyone?

What...over at Jabba's party?

Oh...okay. (Late again...gumble gumble)

Well...since I'm here....

Legolas has finally arrived in the great white north!

I know I'm late to the party here and all that can be said and photographed has been already, but hey...it's my first foray into Middle Earth, and I'm excited!
Thanks to all the great feedback and photos earlier in this thread, I decided to take the plunge to Middle Earth and start with Legolas....

Got on the waitlist for the exclusive and here it is a few short weeks later, the Elf Prince of Mirkwood is here hunting in the snow....

He's a great figure...I like the sculpt but agree with those that have commented that he looks a little more masculine and hard than Orlando Bloom does (not knockin' Mr. Bloom here), but the look totally suits the character...
And...seeing how successful the long hair works here only makes this ole' Star Wars fan wish they has taken this approach with Qui-Gon Jinn...ah, well.

For the futz-factor...this guy nearly bumped Han Solo off the top spot for time taken to futz... The tails of the suede skirt were creased pretty bad (a VERY light iron on the reverse side took care of that...no harm), the standard undress-re-dress to straighten the outfit and then....the quiver! Man, I was nervous dealing with that delicate piece of gear! All I can recommend to those who haven't had the pleasure is take your time with fitting it on and if you're careful, it'll go alright.

The end result of all that futzing is a fantastic foray in Middle Earth!
Now if only my waitlist exclusive Strider would convert...

I'm really digging all of these snow shots! Although, what are you gonna do as figures start shipping in the Summer! You'll have a backlog as you wait for the winter :lol

Your photos are never missed or forgotten, no matter what party is going on at the moment.

Man, there's just something about figures in the snow... it gives them a reality, something about the loss of scale in the snow I guess. But these "snow shots" are quickly becoming the ones I look forward to the most.

Legolas looks great, out in icy nature. Its tought to beat Maul and those balls against the ice wall... but these come close. Especially the one I reposted above.

nice shots in the snow, jedibear!!the fig blends really well in!!:lol

nash that thing abt the back hair restricting movement kinda sucks man..will just have to make do when he comes around in end feb!!!2 more weeks!!!!!!!!:lol

edwint....

I just viewed your magnificent images of Aragon over in that thread...coming from someone who can make a figure come to life through skill with a camera so amazingly, well...let's just say now more than ever I want that waitlist entry I have on Aragon to switch to an order NOW! You've made that figure a must-have for me...and thanks for the compliment...I love getting these figures outside in the elements...hope you get Legolas soon....I'm looking forward to your handiwork with the lens!

Havin' more fun with this great figure...

Damn fine looking figure....Andy Bergholtz totally knocked this out of the park!
Excellent work sir!

My waitlist for the exclusive Legolas just came through. :rock

Now I just need the exclusive Aragorn to convert as well.

Thanks for all the great pix everybody! Got my exclusive last week here in Japan and the people I've shown so far are just blown away by it! I don't think it gets much better than this, not for under $60. Unfortunately, the shipping cost was almost as much as the figure, by I'm tryin' real hard not to let that spoil it.

The hilts of his knives were painted silver, same color as the blades on mine! That can easily be corrected, but I was wondering if they were all done that way? The handles ought to be wood, of course. And I'm planning to whittle a wooden bow (unstrung) for display/photo purposes, just as soon as I have a chance. I hope some of you also have plans for detailing or customizing and will post more of your pix here in the near future.
