Les' backlog situation (for the uninitiated)

Just a quick note about when I ever post in this, or any other, site....

I get, from time to time, either posts in threads, or PMs, even emails, asking why I post online and am not painting...right now...this minute!

Unbelievable.
I just find it somewhat disturbing that people actually question you in such a way.
I suppose they would be pissed off if you took the time to email them about their stuff as well, huh?

Well that happens too. I know Les gets requests for updates etc. and the time it'd take to deal with that is time lost on the work. I remember a time where he'd gotten asked about the status and a hoopla about the whole thing, and the time it took dealing with the chit chat was time that would have actually finished the item and got it out the door.

I really feel for Les, I understand the feelings of the customers, but the poor guys is damned no matter what, if he's slaving over the work, someone's unhappy because he's not letting them know what's going on, if he's sharing a little bit on here and taking a pause or whatever, how dare he. I admire that despite it all, he never says ^^^^ it and he keeps pressing on, I'd have snapped by now, he's a much better person than I.

Thanks for the laughs and the understanding. I need the laughs, it's pretty laugh free around here...
Looks like I have a throat infection. Go figure! So, new meds, stay at home, aw darn! And just...paint! So, I now have a doctor's excuse! Anyway, I sound like an old man with my voice, but am feeling better. Ma is over one of her infections, so she may return to the nursing home soon.
And, I hope to have more work done soon also.

About the other thing--Just remember that most of us are understanding of the situation. We don't expect your every waking moment to be painting and doing this stuff. Some of us are a tad more reasonable than that!

Oh, Ma's guardianship hearing is Monday March 16th at 10am. Wish us luck! Even though it may be all cut and dried now. She is still in the hospital, but I am hoping she will be back in the nursing home this coming monday.

Thats probably why your sick, your working yourself to death. try to get rest were you can. I hope you are taking care of yourself. I know how it can be- With 3 kids I end up taking care of everyone first and me last. It sounds like you are doing that too. Remember you can get nothing done if you are too ill. Besides, like many have said these are toys and a person comes first. that includes you. Take Care.

Thanks Saya. Yeah, I am sure stress is a part of it, but stress from NOT getting it all done and caught up is worse. But thanks. I am working pretty hard today and the rest of the week. Took yesterday to kinda catch up and slow down some. It helped. Two nights early to bed and I am back in the saddle as it were.

Keep taking care of yourself too! Your work is looking STELLAR! Keep that up! It inspires me and others I am sure. Fun to watch you grow and enjoy this. Keep it up! You'll be on top of the heap in no time!

I know people have personal problem,but it seems if you need money ,you would be more willing to sell something or even answer a question?I will give up on asking anybody any questions around here.If you are a newbie ,you get treated like a leper.Just trying to get my own cool figures going.

Les and many other talented people on this board are happy to lend advice but they are extremely busy with commissions. Attacking someone doesn't seem the right way to get your questions anwered imo. Have patience theres lots of help to be had on this board.

For one,I wasn't attacking anyone.Two,I wasn't asking you.Three,I know how bust people are as I work a busy schedule.It seems everyone on this board is always complaing about personal problems and people come to their aid when its not there business.Everyone has problems.Everyone on this board complains about money.I am willing to give them some.When I dont get any response and I have gone through the proper channels,I get annoyed with no response.I would rather have the person say either yes or no.Not difficult.Les is a big boy who is very gifted,but can probably take care of himself.He does this to make money as a business otherwise I doubt he would take so much on.

This was a simple oversight of timing. Another member paid just when DC wanted it, and I actually thought he was the buyer at first. Simple mistake.
To be honest, there are nicer Michael Myers figures here anyway. Maybe he can contact Dark Artist Josh or Soveriegn Studios Shawn for a nicer one.
