About the Joker head that is for sale in the sales thread, I made an extra head of the few go-bys I did for the sets, so I would have something to look at at help me paint them better, and the one I could part with early, I did, to customizerwannabe. It was a prearranged part of the sale. So, if anyone wants that one, it is the "dark haired" variant pencil trick version one I did. It was sent to customizerwannabe as agreed upon. That is the only reason I did two versions of that type up front, so I could mail that ONE off when I did.

The rest will all be done when I get to the sets in a few weeks, including those you have seen (as those are spoken for also), but are being used as go-bys for me until I get a few more done.

thanks for posting with the explanation. although when i saw that les had posted in the for sale thread i went running to it just in case it was your sales thread because i don't want to miss that one.

oh and sorry to post this but i just wanted to make sure you still have my head on your list. i figured i'll ask here instead of crowd the pm/email box. i know you aren't listing the single heads which is completly fine but every once in a while i get paraniod that it got lost with the computer crashes and all.

And yeah, I haven't had time to think what his selling of it might mean to me email-wise. It was just part of the deal, and I just went on with other work, as I am now. I am VERY busy, and working til 4am nearly every night, etc., so I just didn't think about it.

And to note, I am not taking ANY MORE HICKS HEADS! Those are done! Just too much other work to catch up to commit to any more. They have taken long enough as is, and I need to move on to much other work. So Spikey Haired Hicks, as made BY ME, and not recast or something is OFFICIALLY RETIRED! No more Hickses EVER after this series. (All who have asked recently are accounted for, so no worries, this is for new requests only)
I figure 150 are enough.

Back to work! I got too much to do, and my Dad's sick here at home, so between making him soup and painting and packing, no time!

they haven't all been sent out yet. Les sent some out but not all.
The best thing to do would probably be to find out wheter yours has gone out or not yet.

Les, I didn't know you sculpted that Hicks head?
I always thought it was the Hot Toys with some hair added?

I know you know better Amarcord. I have NEVER claimed total sculptureship of that head. It is my VERSION of a highly REWORKED head. That is all. My version of it however, is now retired. MY hairsculpt, and small addendums to the face, are now, no longer available.

It is MY PAINTS whatever the base head was before I got hold of it! And for that matter, half of Darren's heads are reworked. My own Superman is a three generation removed Jim Mattox...his eyes and nose....half the Jokers posted are revamped old Billiken kits. Same with Keatons and so many other heads. Half my collection is from some old Dragon head or whatever. Many heads are often from reworked bases. Not all, but many.

And by the way, it was my addition of the spikey hair (and hopefully, my paintwork) that made it popular and solve the need on so many HT USCM collector's parts, so what is the issue really?

Sorry I got irritated Amarcord, I know you didn't mean ill will, but this head, as it is, here seen without paint

...is exactly the same head it has been since August (or whenever) of 2007. Little late to be making that kind of inference is all. After over 150 have been made and sold.

If anyone wants to make an issue of the fact that it is and always has been, a reworked Hot Toys head, then fine. All I know is I am no longer offering anymore of them. It's been a fun run, but too many and just too late a crunch this last go round to do any more.

I don't care if you have to rework my house to get a sculpt looking that good.

I understand when people think its wrong to recast a head that was sculpted entirely by someone else but when adjustments are made ( unless the original sculpt owner has said otherwise ) I don't see a problem personally.
