JediSword seems to think this Chris Reeve PF will be based on Superman III.

I don't know why all the hate for this piece. The head and hair sculpt look better than the initial preview. I wasnt so sure about it before and skipped on the Batman Movie PF even though it was more iconic to me but I might just PO this bad boy now :)

I have to admit I'm very impressed with you guys. I didn't think this thread would stay alive when I first read it but y'all have taken trolling the forum to a new sub level! :clap

It is a team effort and it is nice to have recognition for it Yankee :lol

As I rarely venture into Nolan Batman or Terminator threads I do have trouble contributing as much as I'd like though :(

Hal Jordan jumps on the badwagon.

Got this bad boy in this week!

I think I might get it painted to match.

I wonder does my friend Sidious know about this thread and perhaps planted this one - testing...

As if you were going to let this bad boy pass you by a-dev. :lol

It looks great and I may jump on it as well. The T-800 can always be doing with more weapons I think.

Its in reference to the teargas grenade launcher in T2. A bad boy that leaves people in tears, no surprise there.

Wataaah!!! Bwuce Lee's a nunchuckn' bad boy

Got home last night and opened this bad boy up.
Can't be bothered taking pics ....because it'll just look like all the other pics here :)

But my thoughts:

The box is massive. Like a mini fridge.
Its all packed pretty well and does its job.

The base is a thing of beauty. Its an amazing effort and the fact that its a real wood surface just adds so much to it. It really puts everyone else to shame ....especially Enterbay's pathetic efforts on their 1/4 HD line.....

So the statue! ....it should be called out LOUDLY and continually that Blitzway's quality control seems to be light years ahead of anyone else's. They've gone to the effort to ensure no one should get a shoddy piece. (haven't personally seen a complaint yet) Very happy with my one. None of this 'well what do you expect in Chinese factories ********' attitude other companies routinely pass off .... I'm looking at you Sideshow...

I'm very happy with all aspects of it.
The sculpting of the body underneath the suit is nice ...the suit itself is great (though that's not difficult....)
The shoes look great.
The arm detail is fine and the veins are nicely done.
It really does look like he could just walk off :D

In person, I actually like the expression much more than I previously did
Would I like the cheeky smirk he used a lot in GoD? Yes.
But I don't think this expression looks 'sad' or blah .... it looks to me like the 'vacant stare of the supremely confident' (a Rickson Gracie description I remember reading). A fighter that is calm in the eye of the storm, no fear of what's around him and about to open a can of whoop ***.

If I had to pick something as a negative I'd say the detail on the hands is lacking. The fingernails are unpainted and though that's the case with pretty much any statue, I guess when you start to go up to 1/3 scale those fingernails start to be much more visible.
But this statue was US$599 compared to Cinemaquette or Sideshow's $2000 for similar sizes and there have been numerous complaints about Sideshow's QC on the 1/2 LScale.

Pics online just can't across the sense of presence this thing has. It really is a centerpiece for anyone's collection.
I've bought and sold around 20 1/4 scale statues (currently only have Sideshow Indy Temple of Doom and Sideshow Arnie Conan) and this is instantly my favorite statue I've ever owned.

If you're a Lee fan you really do need this !

Ooooh another one. To be fair, ED-209 qualifies.

Maybe August. Maybe April. Maybe somewhere in between. The August date comes from the schedule at One Sixth Republic. It is not official, and not always right. They had (still have, I believe) the Adam West Batman scheduled for July "according to Hot Toys Japan," and that figure has just been released in Hong Kong, putting it on track for April as listed on Sideshow.com. That's not to say that ED-209 isn't delayed until August, but with April still listed on sideshow.com and March listed on the official Hot Toys Japan website (no release date listed on the original Hong Kong based site) only time can really tell when OMG and Jingobell will post photos of the ED-209 figure and when Sideshow will receive their shipments from Hot Toys and send this bad boy out to those of us who have been waiting and waiting.

You are truly a seer Lejuan. No further dilly-dallying about my words then. I want ED-209 inside me.

A Medicom bad boy just doesn't feel right to me, but here it is from Jmek:

Just got this bad boy from Mother's Basement in their summer sale. I've already got the Sideshow Vader and the original Medicom from 2005, but I can't resist a bargain. I'm glad I did!

This is hands down the best Vader so far. The sculpting on both the mask and Anakin is spot one and the talking feature and light up sabre blast it into the stratosphere. My only complaint would be the lack of ankle articulation due to the boots, but apart from that the figure's pure quality.
