I remember buying that figure just to have a 1/6 scale Nate in my collection. Lim will finally replace him!! Really wish we get a Sully and rest of the gang it would be a no brainer...I hope he does well enough for 1/12 too!

You’re looking at this through a very narrow lens. There’s collectors out there, yes, but overall gamers do not spend on the big collectibles. R_R_X literally said it himself that gamers are a tough market - as someone in the industry I think it’s worth taking his word there.

My personal opinion but I think gamers are a tough market because not many good licensed collectibles are releasing from games so they don’t collect and if you don’t collect you won’t find yourself discovering the forums and unlicensed gaming figures. I am a pretty big gamer and 95% of the figures I want are all from video games however it was not a video game character that got me into collecting and I had to jump down a customising rabbit hole with a RE4 Leon just to justify a resident evil collection and my first figure from gaming.

I came close to buying that sideshow Nate so many times but that head always put me off and by the time an alternate sculpt was available it had long sold out and eBay prices was pretty crazy so ultimately I passed but a decent Nate would be a day 1 order for me.

Hey if you ever need a U3 Nate head, I already made it. Seriously that figure is pretty good except the head and the body quality. The shape is pretty good, arms can rest beside the body. Not like most of Hot Toys muscle body. I’m hoping Lim Toys can replicate U4 Nathan body too.

I went back through the thread and found the unpainted sculpts.

An update on the sculpts.

It is meant to be a slight smirk/talking sculpt, perhaps it isn't coming across very well in the unpainted pictures, it's supposed to capture to more light hearted, explorer and child like wonder of Nate discovering the various landmarks of Libertalia.

Wow does that look good. Although I think his left eye is slightly off center?

Excited to see the full reveal. It's been a long time coming for a company to do a proper Nathen. Crazy that it took this long but thankful that Lim is tackling him.
