...and of course this one:
Will there be a choice of articulated and non articulated boots like AM?
John only wears his pants going over the boots. So I doubt getting two types of boots would make much sense it would just restrict articulation.
That was my bad, I mixed up the dates but for it is based off his 1911 appearance.Absolutely love this! Instant PO!
Here are my thoughts:
Big fan of both headsculpts. I would consider calling the second one "1911" instead of "1907" as the original game takes place in 1911. 1907 is when the epilogue takes place, which the 1899 head resembles more. The promo shots do look like something is a bit off in the RDR1 sculpt (which is bound to happen when you change the style of a character, and the original Red Dead is definitely stylized due to its age) but the in-hand shots of it look SPECTACULAR. Definitely keep both headsculpts.
I do have a critique about John's 1899 appearance. Below is an image of the model I believe the promo shots are based off of:

Issues with accuracy of the 1899 model in promo shots:
*John wears a black shirt when he has the vest and jacket, to my knowledge he never wears a white shirt with the jacket and vest
*In 1899, I don't think John ever wears his red bandana or gloves (aside from a ragtag pair of gloves in Colter)
*John has a different holster in 1899
*John's pants in 1899 are a slightly different pattern
Will be pre-ordering this for sure. Love the look of it and how much you guys care. Will be one of my most prizes figures. I just wanted to put my thoughts in.

It's his porch, he builds his ranch with the help of other characters. This is moot now, since R_R_X said it will be fixed, but I was looking at a bit of RDR2 yesterday. There was a scene with John on someone's porch where it showed the full length of his trousers :

LIM's start tight, widen, then narrow at the ankle, creating the bulbous appearance because there's too much material with nowhere to go.
LIM will solve it. If they don't the trousers could always be tucked into the boots (or cut off then then tucked in if there's too much volume).
I was presuming the boots are tall as Arthur's, which neatly leads to this:
That would be a nice bonus, though I wouldn't expect it.
Two sculpts, two hats, and two pairs of boots would be the makings of another figure, especially since he has two belts, two holsters and two sidearms.
You can recreate countless outfit combinations in the game with all kinds of hats, boots, trousers, vests, coats and so on, as well as hair and facial hair options, we are going for the main epilogue look as seen in promotional material with additional pieces to recreate other looks. With the particular outfit reproduced by LiM?
This is John isn't it?

That was after he got attacked by a bear. A bit later the player (MKFireAndIce) switched clothes while riding to the denim vest version.
I've seen posts with possible answers about how to change between tucked and untucked trousers for Arthur, so it sounds like there's more limited choices for John.
With the variety of options that appear to be available in the game, carded sets of 1/6 clothes would be good. Though I've read from different manufacturers that accessory sets aren't usually popular enough to warrant production, because most customers don't want to get involved with having to put things together themselves (which, frankly, is the most fun you can have with 1/6!)
The pants look the same . Its just resting off the boot different. This is moot now, since R_R_X said it will be fixed, but I was looking at a bit of RDR2 yesterday. There was a scene with John on someone's porch where it showed the full length of his trousers :

Ah ok I forgot about the cowhand outfit. But that would be separate outfit they would have to make maybe as an accessory kit. That's just sad knowing people hate putting stuff on their figures, imagine how frustrated and lost some would be if they collected military figures and they had to work with M.O.L.E gear. Lmao to me I find it fun also and I don't mind switching outfits from time to time. Plus I futz most of my stuff anyways. With the particular outfit reproduced by LiM?

I reckon so, those that shall never be happy may have cost us Dutch, that my friends is unforgiveable, Arthur and John shall not be happy with you, yes you.eh people will cry and moan about anything, some will never be satisfied no matter what you do. i say be proud of your work and release it to the fans who absolutely love this figure. more people are loving this fig, there’s just a loud minority.
I think, in an effort to make the best John Marston they could, Limtoys split the difference between the pants from the first game and the pants from the second (which is for sure the right call) and never imagined this degree of scrutiny would be put on them.
I actually feel bad.
Not pointing to any post specifically, but some of the scrutiny here is almost to the levels of the InArt figure threads. I'm worried that people taking advantage of a company's willingness to fix any small perceived issues is what drove Asmus to dropping GtW virtually out of the blue with no POs (And to a lesser extent, InArt's radio silence since their event in Bangkok).
I personally much prefer miniscule compromises of screen/model-accuracy, especially when the outfit differences between both game have so many minor variances, than the alternative route which would be having to choose between two different JMs from either game.
But then again, I am really not so picky about 1/6 tailoring whether it's an official figure or not.
Also, I am not trying to accuse anyone of obsessively looking for trivial errors or hounding over inaccuracies; people notice those things naturally. But it is still a little wild to me that the company who has such uniquely no-nonsense, consumer-inclusive methods is still receiving this type of badgering.
