I'm shocked :lol

I saw it last night and was disappointed. Saw it again today and left with watery eyes :lol

See, for me, the emotional stuff didn't hit me in the theater like it did with a lot of people, because I don't think the movie really gives you time to process anything. Logan was a movie that I very much reflected on, and it seems like I get more and more emotional each time I think back on it.

Yup, and everyone I saw it with said the same thing. That's why watching again the very next day I was able to take everything in. This movie will get even better for me I think with repeat viewings.

That's because it's just hitting us at home that they have been a part of our lives since 2000!

Yup. I'll be honest, I grew up with these movies. I was only, like...****, I think I was 5 when the original X-Men came out.:lol And, to tell you the truth, as someone who grew up reading, primarily, DC, Jackman and Stewart really defined these characters for me, and, through the ups and downs of the franchise, there was never a time they weren't giving it their all, so, knowing that this is their coup de grâce. Once it starts to set in, it's hard to accept.:lol

That's where it hit me too, it finally sank in that this is Jackman's last time in the role.

He'd be doing himself a huge disservice if he returns in a Deadpool movie.

Deadpool 3 or X-Force is where they should just reintroduce Wolverine. I feel like the Singer-verse ended with this movie.

Man, this movie. This movie is really something else. I loved it, especially how poignant it was. Equal parts delicate and brutal. A hard mix to achieve proper balance, but Mangold does it effortlessly. I'm glad that Jackman went out on such a high note as the actor who has played a superhero on film the most times and over the longest period of time.

Didn't Fox already announce that a new X-Men film with Fassbender and company starts shooting this year?

Yeah, I definitely don't think Jackman should come back. This was perfect and as much as I love him, it's time to move on to other characters. That's one of the reasons I loved Apocalypse as much as I did - Wolverine only had a memorable cameo and the other characters were just as compelling.

Even in the weaker entries they were the highlights.

The black and white trailer really shows how good it would look in B&W.

*runs to watch it.

Didn't know they released an official BW trailer, thought it was all just talk right now, I mean the movie just came out like lastnight. :lol

:exactly: :lecture

Ughhhhh Deadpool

I'll be honest again Logan was the perfect ending and a perfect movie for sure and it's really emotional for me. I'm getting really upset that it's Jackman's last. I grew up watching these x-men movies. I'm 21 and it's affecting me because he gave the character such define and love and it really is boggling me. I was emotional in the theatre holding back but thinking more and more about it is just tearing me up inside and I love the film for giving the character what it desrves. Bravo to Mangold and bravo to Hugh, Patrick and Keen. Holbrook was the best Marvel villian to date. Stephen was great also. Just overall a big huge congrats to the people behind this it's amazing. I'm emotional because apart of my childhood is leaving but it's for the better good.

Well said.

Much better than pturtle's first review too.

We can all agree that this is pretty much Mangold's best movie, right? Maybe just behind Kate and Leopold, but...still, pretty good.

Why did Wolvie even appear in Apocalypse then? It wouldve been perfect if they introduced a new Wolverine (actor) there. Of course, it wouldve been hard to see Hugh Jackman departure from the role without a good ending though.

Because this is following DOFP and Jackman is Wolverine in this timeline. It would have been a horrible place to recast the character given that he just kind of shows up out of nowhere with little introduction and departs rather quickly. The Weapon X scene is a highlight of the film though and I'm very happy they worked it in.

I love how with regards to the fights that they've been ratcheting up in intensity in the last few films. The Wolverine was pretty hard for a PG-13 and the Unrated Extended Cut definitely earned it's R-rating. The brief Weapon X scene in Apocalypse was pretty savage for PG-13. Honestly, I felt that Singer really got away with a PG-13 there. That probably should have pushed it to an R, but I'm sure they were like three blood streaks to short or some other trivial nonsense. And now Logan, limbs are literally flying across the screen. I love it.
