So, Logan is only how long after the events of apocalypse?

I'm going to say it again, no way magneto isn't out there somewhere. That dude is an ultimate survivor and even a decade after apocalypse he still should have been at the height of his power.

Everybody keeps talking about recasting wolverine, but what if they just stick with x-23? She even dressed as Wolverine for a bit in the comics. Would that be an acceptable transition?

That's around the age I was when I saw the first Alien movie on TV! There were no kids at my screening, but when my mom went to see it yesterday there was a big family who bought very small kids to it. Thankfully they were mostly behaved!

I could see young kids being bored off their tree by this film.

At any point did Xavier or Logan wonder how the bad guys were keeping track of them? Surely it must have been suspicious that they kept turning up.

I can't help but feel really bad for Doctor Benton (from ER) and his family.

They knew the baddies picked Caliban at Rancho Relaxo, didn't they?

IMHO that should be the only thing they do. IF they are going to continue on with the 'xmen' franchise using Jean/Phoenix as the central character, that's fine just don't bring in Stewart or Jackman to reprise their roles in that 'universe'. A divergent xforce or 'post logan' era series shoudl focus on the kids in this film and let that be your next 'xmen' franchise.

I'd be totally ok
with this occurring

if htey absolutely have to continue a 'wolverine' type character in any future iterations of the franchise. Recasting someone else as Logan will be a can of worms because all anyone will do is be compared to Jackman

I never felt the need to have to 'see' Logan in the yellow or brown suit. I did like the weapon x cameo in Apocalypse being true to that comic aspect, but for me Jackman worked well without the yellow or brown spandex.

Direction they take depends on what box office dictates.

Regarding Magneto, he could've been one of the primary mutants that Charles killed instead of the Alkali Transigen virus.

46 years.

Like Xavier, he'd be 100-years-old so he'd probably be dead or in a nursing home.

Kinberg already confirmed it's gonna be a long time until we see Wolvie again. [An older] X-23 on the other hand will probably be back in Carnahan's R-rated X-Force in 2019.

Oh..I thought i read it was like 10-20 years or something.

Okay that makes me feel better.

They knew the baddies picked Caliban at Rancho Relaxo, didn't they?

The bionic arm dude strongly implied that he killed Caliban and Logan seemed to take him at his word. I can't remember if Logan or Xavier mentioned him, theorised that he must still be alive or actually saw him at any point after that.

Just, if they knew Caliban was alive and being forced to track them for the bad guys they surely wouldn't have accepted the invitation back to that family's home. That whole scene was tragic. At first I thought I was watching a dream-sequence or something.

I guess it's vague. But seeing how Chuck built a machine that locates mutants in the 60s, mutants can track other mutants....I mean, there's probably a Cerebro app by 2029. Plus 2 of the 3 are coated in rare metal and they're awfully conspicuous driving a wrecked bat-limo amd robbing gas stations.

Come to think of it, did they even need Caliban? :lol

You'd think the Alkali people would tag all of their clones, too.

Probably more supposition than you were looking for. Short answer: yeah, they probably should have thrown a line at it. :lol

Guys, I FINALLY saw this last time. And honestly, this was the best X-Men movie made to date, IMO. My eyes definitely watered up in the end.

I can't get over how well this put this together. And I'm surprised that this is a Fox movie.

I'm certainly sad to see Hugh go. Between him and Patrick, they were the best things to happen to this franchise, IMO. And it won't be the same without Hugh.

And not sure if you guys picked up the IMAX poster, but it's actually really impressive. I normally do bother to get them, but this one is really nice, surprisingly.

:lol :lol :lol

Even though i'm going to go see Kong opening night i'm hoping Logan beats it at the box office, excellent movies should be rewarded.

Not that I think Kong will be bad, looking forward to it actually, but lets be honest it won't be no Logan.

Oh man, Kong is terrible, I was hoping that it would end up rotten on RT so that Logan can keep doing big business, but some how it's getting good reviews.

Speaking of Kong, does Kong look a lot smaller than Godzilla?

I know they're planning on having they battle, but I don't even see the match being close. Kong is a lot faster looking, I guess.

He's certainly a lot smaller than the recent Godzilla but there is a line in the movie saying Kong is still growing.

Oooooooohhhh. I missed that. Ah, good to know. Yeah, because I didn't see Kong physically doing well. :lol
