You're not making a good argument for why Wolverine's costume is a bad thing. At all.

The Dark Knight[/i] is a perfect movie and Batman is in costume all throughout it.

I'm not arguing Costumes though, I'm arguing that the smelly man-babies only seem to care about that.

That's all that I'm reading on the internet, that Jackman was a great Wolverine but it's a shame he never got to wear the costume, now those same people want him to return in a movie for no other reason than to see him wear that costume. That's stupid. Logan even makes a point to say costumes are stupid, and everytime Jackman suited up, he looked stupid. He looked his best in regular clothes.

In fact, I love when superhero movies have costumes that fit within the context of the story.

The first two X-Men didn't do a good job at explaining their stupid costumes, First Class did, TDK trilogy did, Iron Man obviously did. If there's a good reason for the costume, and they can make it fit within the world the story takes place then I'm all for costumes, but I'll take FoX-Men's Pink Floyd Quicksilver outfit over Under Armor Whedon QS costume anyday.

And visually, it's the worst he's ever looked on film next to Clooney bobbing his head up and down. :lol The flip side to that is you have BvS and Suicide Squad where the movies are some of the worst featuring Batman (next to Clooney and Schwarzenegger's outing) and yet, it's one of best on film representations of Batman visually.

Visuals are important and great, but the arguments for why Jackman should be in a Deadpool movie are not.

I'm with pturtle on this one. It sounds like fanboys just want Jackman back so he can square off or fight alongside Ryan Reynolds again. We've already seen that. It's been done. There's nothing creative or innovative about throwing Jackman into this Deadpool world other than "look, it's like teh comics!" and "finally, Jackman in yellow, brown and a cowl!!!" or "his weird uniform from one of the Singer films".

I'll take those flashback scenes from X1 and X2 where Logan is running around, flipping out and killing everyone, covered in blood when he escapes from Stryker over how comic accurate he looks in Apocalypse with his weapon x helmet and gear running around with the X-teens. All this stuff with Logan being in Deadpool reeks of cheap fan service.

There is really no reason for Jackman to retire, and this film proves it. Not just from an acting stand point, but from a physical stand point, since he can clearly be a savage animal, which Ii didn't know he had that in him.

It's only his "last" film because he said so, and now that people like the film, they don't want him to risk seeing him in a bad film again. Whatever.

They even have the perfect way to bring him back in a sequel to Logan.

Still, I'm all for a new actor, as long as he isn't a 6 foot Jackman clone. If that's the case, then bring back Jackman.

Everytime Jackman suited up, he looked stupid. He looked his best in regular clothes.

That's not The Wolverine though. You're sounding more like a Hugh Jackman the ACTOR fan rather than a Wolverine fan.

Wolverine's costume is not a wife beater and jeans. Jackman complained about this for 10 years to FOX and finally somewhat go his way with DOFP featuring the yellow, blue and orange colors. For a long time both Reynolds and Jackman hated that FOX wasn't willing to just let them fully represent the characters they were playing (like that pic DiFabio posted from that garbage Origins).

Look, to each his own, if you think Wolverine in costume is stupid - that's fine. Just know you're in the vast minority and most people will explode in celebration when Jackman shows up in costume in DP2. It'll be louder than when the X2 theme song began to play during the DOFP opening credits.

Yeah, just like all the people that exploded when the full sized, 1/6 scale Hot Toys Millenium Falcon and Tie Fighters went up for sale. Or when most people's brains exploded when Deadpool was nominated for a screenplay Oscar. Or when people exploded when The Dark Knight was nominated for Best Picture.

You're a nice guy SNIKT, but you're essentially Hyperbole: the poster :lol

I bet Jackman doesn't show up in Deadpool (out of integrity, and because it would be stupid) and that you'll be wrong. If you happen to be right, I'll just shrug, eat some crow, and say "well that's dumb" then go play with my dolls. On film we've literally seen Wolverine do everything. Rediscover his haunted past, time travel, go through a story similar to God loves, Man kills, experience Days of Future Past, his 1800s origin story, Weapon X, fight against Magneto, Stryker, Deadpool, Lady Deathstrike, Sabertooth, Silver Samurai, Donald Pierce, Mystique, and finally experience family/death etc. etc. The character that debuted in 2000 just ended last week in 2017 and has had a pretty damn good character arc.

You don't have to be a Wolverine or Logan fan to find him being included in a Deadpool to be cheap, especially after the actors are buzzing about what a great send off Logan is and how this Jackman's last. If they're like "lol, jking, he's back" and put him in Deadpool so he can fight and be in a cool costume, well, shame on them.

This post is the Logan of these topics. :lecture

HT started selling 7ft tall 1/1 BvS Batmen and Wonder Women for $10K a few months later. But a 1/6 TIE Fighter or X-Wing are still unreasonable, right?

Or when most people's brains exploded when Deadpool was nominated for a screenplay Oscar.

After the PGA Nomination everyone in the know expected it to get the Adapted Screenplay Nomination. Everyone. So yeah, try again.

Or when people exploded when The Dark Knight was nominated for Best Picture.

Its no secret that the Academy voters were upset that TDK wasn't able to land the Nomination so they pushed for more Best Pic Nominees the year after and got it. No secret.

Yeah, and all this petty, passive aggressive, trying to call me out garbage says what about you, bruh?

Again, this doesn't need to be personal. You have a valid opinion, as do I. You don't need to watch DP2. The end. Many will relish Jackman in costume. Very few won't.

I dealt with bull**** like this with Rogue One for over a year with people furiously voicing what a mistake it would be to have Vader in it. Never made any sense at all and still doesn't and thank God the folks at Disney still put Vader in there.

There is nothing cheap or tacky about featuring a character that is still alive in a PREQUEL film. Doesn't negate anything because he is STILL eventually going to die a poignant and dramatic death later on.

Except Hugh Jackman acts nothing like Logan in real life. That logic can work for Robert Downey or Ryan Reynolds but yea, Hugh Jackman is borderline metrosexual so that doesn't really apply here :lol

His stupid costume in DOFP made no sense, what's the point of it other then catering to the nerds? The man is borderline invincible :lol

Guess what, we're in the vast majority when it comes to the thinking the MCU is crap, does that make us wrong? I'm in the vast majority for thinking X2 is the best Marvel movie do date, who cares?

Jackman has been successful without a comic accurate costume for this long, I'd like to see him retire while he's on top. Plus, imagine if Deadpool 2 is crap? Why would he risk it? DOFP was a great ending I thought for his character, but his crappy cameo in Apocalypse made me want to see him in one more good movie so he can have a fitting ending, no need to keep playing with fire, especially with such a hit and miss franchise.

I thought the X2 theme was pretty good, it showed up again in DOFP. It's pretty underrated I think.

I wasn't really in the Rogue One thread, but this doesn't make any sense since the last time we saw Vader wasn't Return of the Jedi, but Episode 3. After the prequel trilogy butchered Vader, i don't see how putting him in RO could have ruined him any further, there wasn't a risk there at all and the situation is nowhere near the same as Logan/Deadpool 2

It'd be so kewl seeing good old Mel slashing and getting all those Je...Jenifer Lawrence...:chase

lololololol

He would've made an excellent Wolverine, great choice there Clown!

A. I love the XM theme!
B. I think you and Snik should meet around back and have a knife fight, winner gets to watch DP2, loser ends up at the city morgue like a cholo stealing wheels.

If DP2 is the prize, I just might throw the fight :lol

:lol :lol :lol :lol

I'm not even going to go see DP2, not a fan of the un funny 4th wall superhero schtick.

But I want a new actor to play Wolverine and I want him in the Wolverine costume in every movie more than I want to have sex with Chloe Morentz.

The new Wolvie could very well be "international" (see, non-white, which is weird, considering there are tons of ethnicities that fall under "white", but aren't "white"). Hugh wants this guy: https://www.comicbookmovie.com/x-men/logan/hugh-jackman-wins-over-indian-fans-by-suggesting-bollywood-legend-a149306

Also, Logan somehow is a critique on the "white patriarchy": https://www.dailydot.com/parsec/logan-wolverine-movie-review-hugh-jackman/?tu=gav

"Like every X-Men movie, ‘Logan’ is a story about oppression that predominantly focuses on straight, white men. The main difference is this time, the filmmakers seem aware of the subtext in this casting choice. Laura (Wolverine’s young mutant companion) is latina, and like the women of Mad Max: Fury Road or the kids who survive Children of Men and Snowpiercer, she represents the future of a world ruined by the greed and violence of white patriarchy."

:lol:lol

People are weird.

X-23 is Latina now?

She was made from Logan's DNA.

Also, "white" is a US term only. Logan is not even from the US. :lol
