Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

This doesn't look remotely like Old Man Logan at all, so I'm already worried. Not that the comic was amazing, but I'm sure this will be a ****** spin on it.

I assume the girl is X23.

Jackman and Stewart watched X-Men: Apocalypse, confirmed.

Also confirmed: We're getting Death of Wolverine, not Old Man Logan. Look at the beard, and remember the black suit and tie. DoW Logan had that look, not OML Logan. Thus, DoW CONFIRMED, REG as Cornellius CONFIRMED and MCU cross-over with Nuke CONFIRMED as well. I guess they're also gonna bring back Viper and Sabretooth as well...

Oh man, more Xavier wheelchair action :lol

I hear the new fight scenes will put CA: CW to shame. Xavier has some sick moves in this one...

Nah man, it's been CONFIRMED that this is Death of Wolverine, look at the beard!!111!!

Kidding aside, they're obviously going to mix a lot of storylines together, for my money Death of Wolverine and Old Man Logan. They already tackled the Japan story and Weapon X, so the only remaiing mainstream storylines are these two. Now, there are lots of things they can do with it, truth be told. They can bring back Sabes, X-23, Weapon X, Cornellius, all of them.

But anyway, that's all speculation, and since we know virtually nothing about the movie apart from the casting and a few descriptions and rumours, let's wait and see...

You misunderstood me. I know this is the end for Hugh's Logan, but this doesn't come off like the world Logan was living in in the comic. Maybe I should just reserve judgment until further things are revealed. I do hope Victor makes a return. Since he won't be going up Red Skull, he should at least get one more good battle with Sabertooth.

Nah man, I got it, I was just kidding with the whole CONFIRMED thing, where things are blown way out of proportion. Sorry if it didn't come out as I intended.

Anyway, from what we've seen, yeah, this is in no way Old Man Logan. No Emma Frost, no Hawkeye, no Spider-*****, no Red Skull, no Hulk Rednecks, no Post-Apoc setting, lots of things are missing. Most likely, we'll get a mix of OML and Death of Wolverine, with Logan somewhat accepting his fate and tackling his past. But, apart from the casting, we know virtually nothing about the film, so lots could be added.

Maybe Richard E. Grant is Cornellius. Maybe Skull's role is handed over to Graydon Creed. Maybe Hulk's role is given to Sabes. Personally, I'm gonna wait until I either see some meatier pics, or see a trailer. Cause until then, nothing's been "confirmed" as far as I'm concerned...

They're definitely not going to go with the same event that made him live a life of peace (killing the X-Men)

I got no problem with them doing a switcheroo with Sabertooth and Hulk.

It could work, but yeah, I don't see them going down that road.

In a way, I think that'd be even better. Have Graydon be born a normal human, shunned by the pact, and thrown out in the wild, where he slowly climbs the ladder and becomes the film's "Red Skull". Meanwhile, you can have some inbred Sabretooths, it wouldn't be that far fetched.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

After all these pics it does feels like a twist on Death of Wolverine.
Makes much more sense than OML too.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

Was DOW any good? I've yet to read it.

I liked it a lot. The ending was more "Death of Captain Marvel" than "Death of Superman", but I think it worked really well within the context. There was a whole vol that lead up to it, but the mini itself was self-contained and well written. The final shot was darn beautiful:

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

Meh, I didn't like it. Too dramatic yet shallow.
It was a stupid marketin' crap TBW.

The Adamantium Surfer thing at the end made it even worse. :lol

So, Batman v Superman?

In a way, yeah, I'll agree.

The Adamantium Surfer thing at the end made it even worse. :lol

Eh, I liked it, it made for a great image.

Oh come on, that's harsh! :lol It was good IMO. Sure, it got a bit silly, but it wasn't anything awful.
