Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

4. IRON MAN 3 (2013) great

No. Faaaaaar from great. The problem with IM3, overall, is that it made Tony redundant. Dude can be sitting in his bunker, having a nice single malt, smoking a cigar and groping Pepper, and IM will still be out there.

That means there's no sense of imminent threat, no danger to Tony. Just remote control those puppies, fly your drones, if they get smacked, no problems.

Tony in the suit is what makes IM, not remote controlled "hey, boltbucket, go do some stuff". That's just meh.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

Who knows what happens when his host body is destroyed? Maybe the ceremony is for transferring one living host to another. Once a host body is destroyed, maybe he can transfer his essence to someone else or revert to a prior host. He's too damn powerful to be dead. If they do decide to bring him back later I really hope they update his armor to a more mechanized suit (like it is in the comics). This character and his motivation need to be redeemed if they do decide to bring him back.

Singer and Kinberg hinted in the Empire podcast that we never saw what Apocalypse really was. All we saw were two host bodies which were both destroyed.

Sounds to me like they're basically pulling a Deadpool with him where their first try was way off the mark so their second has to be extremely faithful to the comics.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

Yea but the difference is, the movie wasn't called X-Men Origins: Deadpool. This movie was named after Apocalypse. :lol

Yep. Same thing came to mind.

Still glad Black and Marvel issued that apology video. It was great finding out the real Mandarin is out there, via the great Scott McNairy.

I hope so. It's desperately needed.

Yep, that's my biggest issue with IM3. Why is Tony even in the films or on the field after that film? Also, didn't he retire at the end of the film to be with Pepper? They should have changed the ending and never release it if they were going to act like it never happened anyway. It would've been the perfect way for RDJ to finally "retire" from the MCU and have a Fury-type role.

After the box office performance of XMA he just looks like he doesn't even want to be there, like what am I doing here wasting my time, no one is going to go see it!. :lol

You can tell he's done with the role.

But at least he's got more class than Daniel Craig. :lol

Your whole post is pure conjecture lol

None of what you're saying is implied in any way, by anything.

Lots of people will see this movie.

Your obsession with box office is pretty exhausting btw. It should be the last thing a fan cares about.

Agreed. I haven't seen or heard anything from Jackman to indicate that. He genuinely loves playing the character.

Yep. Jackman truly loves the role.

Also, the poster I was responding to measures the quality of movies with box office.

That pretty much says it all.

Its really God damn impressive.

17 years immortalizing a character via 9 films.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

So if I have it right as far as full appearances he's about to equal Roger Moore as Bond. He's got him beat if you count the FC cameo and the Apocalypse scene. And the span of time he's been playing Wolverine exceeds Roger Moore's 12 years as Bond.
