:lol at jye and YoNoSe.

I'm hoping that Logan retcons Origins, X2 and the first half of DOFP while simultaneously canonizing X3, the Geonosis arena battle, and Watership Down.

I heard the blu-ray will ship with free copies of Excel 2017 to help keep the continuity in order.

It’s only 5 seconds, but its looking this will be in black in white. I’m really liking Jackman’s grizzled voice.

If Mangold did indeed get the greenlight on B&W, what a wonderful statement of auteurism this film will be for the genre.

Rumor is he actually goes past berserker to a new level -

Don't forget restoring Josh Tranks credibility.

If you're referring to SIN CITY, Miller's books (sans HELL AND BACK) are B&W so it was a given. It was also highly stylized and not toned down (like the Jarmusch-ian pics they've been teasing LOGAN with).

So, in reality this hasn't been done before, not in the genre nor for a Marvel character onscreen.

You want happy go lucky Wolverine? Go watch X-Men Origins, I'm rdy for Wolverine to smoke, drink, claw people's guts out!

Right! Show is what the claws can do! It's like in the cartoons when he'd popped his claws out just to throw something or fight a robot! No! I wanna see some real hardcore damage with those things. The origins game show cased it best imo.

It was never "a given." The Crow was a b&w comic.

It was absolutely a given since Rodriguez had no interest in adapting SIN CITY but rather recreating it on film ripped from the comic.

Its a great film but the B&W was not a statement in it. With LOGAN it would be a massive statement.

I don't know, the black and white kind of makes the use blood unnecessary. It's still there, but I rather see an R rated film that looks more like No Country for Old Men than...The Artist, but that's just me. They can always release two versions like Mad Max.

This quote by Mangold from last week really says it all:

@damanedmonds: "Since this is your 1st sequel, what would you consider your biggest challenge to be crafting it?"

@mang0ld: "To find a new tone. To have a voice. To make something fresh & alive, not just another "episode" from a preordained blueprint."

This movie is really shaping up to be the arthouse answer to the CBM.
