I went to see I Am Legend just to watch the first TDK trailer. It was worth it.

Completely worth it. That TDK teaser was perfection. Gave me chills. "You've changed things. Forever. There's no going back. You see to them, you're just a freak. Like me.". Know that by heart.

And I Am Legend was fantastic. Still annoyed they never went forward with the proposed I Become Legend prequel.

I boycotted the internet during the two weeks that the second Force Awakens trailer was released online prior to it's debut before Age of Ultron. Seeing the first new footage of a cloaked Luke Skywalker and then Han and Chewie since Return of the Jedi on an IMAX screen was one of the highlights of the summer (and far surpassed AoU itself.)

That two-minute trailer was miles better than AOU in its entirety.

It was the perfect assembly of footage to reintroduce us to the world of SW cut to some of my favorite Williams musical cues.

I watched it on my 70" 4K that morning it went up after my brother texted me. It was like 10:30 here in the East Coast. The tears literally spilled out of my eyes as Han told Chewie "We're home."

I cheered like an idiot afterwards. Perfect trailer.

There were about 8 trailers before AoU on opening day and then like a 10 minute Tomorrowland IMAX featurette after those. I remember thinking "no, no...!" that they might not show TFA. Then after the Tomorrowland preview the screen went dark, stayed dark, and then quietly the Lucasfilm logo appeared. The audience erupted in a spontaneous cheer, then again at Han's now iconic line. I teared up both times. :)

The musical cue they used as the LUCASFILM logo came up was ****ing brilliant. Suspense and awe as you re-enter this post-Empire world you last saw in ROTJ. Then the crashed Star Destroyer. I could go on for hours.

I just hope Lucasfilm hires the same brilliant ******* to cut all the Episode VIII trailers.

Okay I'm officially Team SNIKT now. Civil War sucks. :lecture :lol

I'll admit Logan looks different and sorta unique for a CBM. It could be great, even. But that's it!

On the other hand, I do think that Stark became a parody of the character after IM2. And the Thor flicks are pretty bogus. And apart from it's novelty, Avengers didn't turn out as good as I would've hoped... Damn, apart of the Cap Trilogy, IM & GotG, most of the MCU films are... kinda sucky... Oh God, I'm becoming like... like them...

Everyone thought The Dark Knight was just going to be another CBM.

Eight Oscar Nominations and two Oscar wins later...

A CBM can go the distance and transcend. It all begins with a supportive studio and a strong auteur at the helm.

Fury Road laughs at TDK with 10 noms and 6 wins.

People can just turn off the color on their TV lol.

I'm going to go watch Empire Strikes Back in B&W right now.....Empire Strikes Black!

No confusion on Han's winter coat color then!

Good good.

You're beginning to see the light, next you'll shun GotG too...

Then, you'll excise all flavors of the week from your life and adopt Snyder as your lord and saviour! Long live the father of Capekino! Only then, after your cleansing, will you have the right to claim your place at the secret patrician society of comic book kinography connoisseurs and take the first steps into the comic book movie renaissance with us.

Actually I... never really loved GOTG. I mean, it's a good flick, with style and good writing, but... The 2008 volume was perfect, but after the whole Ooga Chaka feel of the flick, comic book Guardians are a parody of themselves. Same goes for Stark post RDJ. The first film captured him pretty much perfectly, but after that... Regardless... I'll never join you! I shun Snyder and his posse! Except for Batfleck. Batfleck's cool...

Doctor Strange looks great though. Just 7 days remain for me...
