Singer gave him a pretty great version of the suit [sans cowl] with the classic colors in DOFP.

But they keep using the same people to make these things over and over. Singer's color scheme is irrelevant since he didn't have the mask. Not to mention they keep using spare parts from GI Joe suits.

It was nice of them to hide the blue and yellow suit with that plastic armor.

Yeah ****ing stupid breast plate. I like the look he had and all, but to claim it's got any similarity with the classic suit beyond 1% is just silly.

Same rectangular "X" belt buckle, V-shaped boots and rib cage design pattern.

Hell it was silly back in 1995's "Wolf" which is why I could never get behind his jumping around during the bloodless mansion assault in the vastly overrated X2. Hopefully those moments will be few and far between because I really do like the overall vibe of the rest of the trailer.

Haven't really kept up so I'm not sure, but I was really hoping we would get an actress in their twenties or thirties to take on X-23 instead of a pre teen.

Its set in 2024, eight years after the end of DOFP.

At least she's a creepy looking unknown and not some already famous sitcom actress.

I do feel that this film has a bit of an Unforgiven/angry Mel Gibson vibe to it which as of now I'm really loving.

Exactly. That was the one disappointing aspect of the trailer because I thought the drama and tone looked great.

I don't know if I'd call X2 fans "kiddies." Connoisseurs of subpar action maybe, but not kiddies. My kids certainly aren't into that silliness.
