Good episode, and I'm interested to see how it all plays out. But I've really lost interest in the sideways reality. I know I'm in the minority (I may even be the only one) but that whole thing has really made me lost alot of interest in the show.

That episode has me wondering "what happened?"

I have to reply to this one more time...

I am on the Transmission Podcast blog right now (anyone check out the podcast yet?) and came accross this entry:

"What an episode! Thank you Lost. Thank you Desmond. Thank you Charlie. Thank you Faraday.

To all those who thought the Flash Sideways were pointless, you stand corrected. Tonight we got not only an emotionally engaging story, but also straight up confirmation of the timelines bleeding into one another. And Desmond apparently plans on shaking things up for all our Losties. Baller.

Also, Sayid’s bit was completely random and totally awesome. BAMF."

Couldn't agree more! :D

Right now, I feel like this episode ranks up there with "The Constant".

What a perfect episode. I got the chills three times!! Desmond being so critical and integral to the end of the series is just so awesome!!!!

Man, Desmond-centric episodes are always so good. And this one could stand up next to The Constant as one of the best. They really tied together the sideways reality and the island reality in this episode.

So, what can Desmond do after getting ahold of the manifest and telling the rest of the passengers? What could they possibly do?

Anyone else think Des was going to get shot in the limo?

Yeah, I definitely saw that coming, once he meets Penny then walks back into the limo. George (Minkowski :rock) had his hand down, and after he said "Did you find what you were looking for?" I expected him to pop Des in the chest.

Anyways, completely awesome ep. It was like the greatest hits of Faraday and Desmond episodes rolled into one gigantic story-blowing-open epicness.

When Widmore said his son died in that same spot, was he referring to Faraday, or the heretofore unknown half/step son, brother to Penny?? Someone's gonna have to check the timeline, and see when Penny and Faraday were born. It seems like Faraday had to have been at least conceived on the Island before Widmore left. I wonder if we're going to get an explanation as to why Daniel has neither Hawking nor Widmore as his last name, where did Faraday come from??

The fact that Desmond is just now figuring out about the alt universe, and Faraday is putting the pieces together, and Eloise has always known is too much all at one time.

Don't know about the last name of Faraday, but Eloise was pregnant (by Widmore) with Daniel in the 1977 scenes that we saw last season. She apparently left the Island at some point after the Incident.

And now Alt Desmond begins the long process of picking up every other passenger from 815 and driving them into the ocean, one by one, until they all have their memories from the other timeline...

(And I was cringing a little in the limo at the end, waiting for a gunshot that never came.)

I wonder who Penny's mom is. . . or if that's even important. It seems like that whole family is central to the Island.

There was a painting of a balanced scale in sideways Widmore's office. I'm really curious to see how much he and Eloise knows about the sideways reality as well as what's going on in island-verse.

Okay, did anyone else think "these two could be the next Jacob and MiB" when they saw Desmond and Sayid at the end of the episode? Desmond looked like he was enlightened and aware of everything while Sayid was an empty shell of his former self. That was so good.

btw, io9 just put up a list of 15 things we learn from tonight's episode: https://io9.com/5511351/15-things-we-learned-in-last-nights-lost[url]

What a great episode. Of course the best information always comes in a Desmond/Daniel episode. Also Eloise is constantly involved in the overall pictures, I'd love to know how she is. Afterall she is the one that sent them back to the island. Did she do it all so that she could lead the life she wanted to. She certainly wasn't happy about Desmond asking questions he wasn't supposed to.

I don't know why people would have thought the sideways universe would come to nothing. I'd hardly think they would waste the entire season on showing the life they could have had, but that they never know about in the end. There's been little hints all season about the two timelines merging, soon it will all become a lot clearer.
