HAPPY LOST DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe this is ending!!!!! I could cry!! (and am sure I will!!)

Six years of being consumed with LOST (even between seasons, my mind was always fixed on it). Man, this is rough... the only thing that makes it bearable is the fact that I'm SO excited to see what happens.

I feel like I'm getting married tomorrow or something! :lol

I have never loved a television show like this.

I saw the pilot the day it first aired and I have not missed a single episode since. I have watched the entire show in real time - even through the slower times - and it's like a big chapter in my life is closing.

Bitter sweet.

Agree with everything you said there, there are 2 Shows that i have really loved...something above the rest "Random" shows i have watched over the years, and that is "Lost" and "Twin Peaks",nothing i have ever watched have even come close to those two,and i doubt anything will come close ever again. The ending is what we have been waiting for but at the same time it will be a very sad day:monkey2

My brother is the biggest LOST fan in this world,he has done nothing but watching Lost the entire weekend. And being such a huge Lost fan as he is,it became a dream come true for him that the Blu-Ray collection release date is on his Birthday,August 24th,you should have seen his face when he found out,and he started saying things like..."It was always my destiny to watch LOST,not a coincidence that the whole Lost collection is being released on the very same day as my birthday",he couldn`t stop smiling :lol

I took a risk and clicked on this thread, phew; fortunately it seems spoiler free ... so far. :hi5:

Anyway, today's www.teefury.com is actually kinda cool. :lol

Sounds like they filmed special footage while the cast and crew were still around that will answer some of the questions that couldn't be addressed during the final season in a natural/organic way. This footage will be included on the video release this August. So we might get an answer to the food drops, after all.

I hope everybody enjoys the finale--I'm turning off the computer until tomorrow.

Ohhh, glad I peaked.

That's interesting because Damon has said that you will find out about the food drop, but not in the show proper.

The next time I come into this thread it will all be over! What in the world am I going to watch on t.v. from now on? Excited for the finale, but very sad to see one of the most entertaining shows come to an end.

Have fun everyone!

Presumably Aron and Ji Yeon went on to have thier own unique lives filled with individual experiences in no way connected to the island. Why would each of them choose to remain a baby and a fetus (respectivly) in thier own afterlives for all eternity?

I think it was fantastic. Everything we saw outside the sideways reality happened. Sideways was their afterlife. I cried like a child, and loved it because in the end the questions didn't matter. And you didn't get all the answers. I think this show is more a statement about life overall and the important relationships you make rather than anything else.

So the sideways reality is where they all go after they have died? And in the middle they are awaiting to go to heaven or hell? Maybe this explains the church and why it has all the different religion symbols inside. Those inside are going to heaven....Ben was waiting outside, perhaps signifying he is going to hell?

Some went on to live their lives after Jack saved the island and Hugo and Ben continued to protect it. But whether they died at age 30 or at age 80 they all eventually go to the same place after death and meet each other again.

Everything that happened on the island was real and legit.

I don't understand exactly the significance of it all just yet. There has to be a purpose to the island and the light it emits tying into the place they all go after death, I think the answer is shown in the finale....but I cannot understand why.

So what exactly is the island and what exactly are they protecting? A life after death?

For me, I lost my mother, grandmother and grandfarther, durring the years this show has run, which my mom loved a great deal. Needless to say it affected me very deeply tonight. But for me, I think I understand, and I think each of us will take different things from this experience. Me, it has reopened painful memories and wounds, but has brought a sense of closure to things, and a sense of hope to what I must say has seemed like a hopeless era of my life. I know it must seem stupid that a TV show would do this, and you are probably right. But I am thankful that it has.

Cried like a baby for Claire and Charlie's moment and for Sawyer and Juliet's moment.

However, the ending was not emotionally resonant for me because it was so alarming.

It will take a while to digest.
I am not at first comfortable with the ending because it is not in keeping with my personal beliefs. I am not sure how to feel about the "purgatory" they created for themselves...
I will say that in true LOST fashion, I never would have guessed that was where they were going with the flash sideways...
