You know, seeing the beginning and ending together like that is really interesting! I didn't remember that Vincent backed away (as in, it's not time yet maybe?) in the opening...

Oh damn, there I go again.
Vincent doesn't back away, that clip is just played in reverse to show how it syncs up.
Are you sure? I re-watched it a couple of times, and it appears to be the complete clip of the opening scene in real time without reverse or anything...
I was about to say, Lonnie "are you watching the clip I posted?".
The beginning sequence is played backwards. Jack even walks backwards a little at the very beginning of it.

Lost is over. BSG is over. Now what?
Finally watched the series finale on Tuesday/Wednesday.
Pretty emotional and personally liked the reveal what the Sideways 'verse was.
Stayed away from this thread to avoid any kind of spoilers for the last 2-3 months, didn't even want to read or think about theories but enjoy the ride. And I did.
The last 20 mins of Lost were fairly emotional, for me. And damn, I'm listening to the music on youtube...

Spent the last two days reading comments from the last two months.
Has definitely expanded my understanding of the story.
Beautiful, beautiful and hauntingly sad ending, even if the storytellers soften it with "hey, he's happy in the afterlife!".
As to the "purported writer" from a few postings back, I don't think he/she is real. Which is why I stopped reading the espoused theories halfway through. A writer knows the difference between "writers" and "writer's".
Luckily I watched the show by myself because I would have been hard-pressed to use the allergy excuse. Damn dog, I think that gave me the rest
I didn't remember that Vincent was there at the very beginning, I thought it was a way for the audience to find it more bearable that Jack wasn't completely alone at the end.

P.S. Didn't even know that Lost had a soundtrack for each season. Think I will pick those up now.
Don't know if this was posted, but wow!

You just made me sad all over again
Damn you for posting that! I just about started crying all over again.
One more clue that they knew this all along. The list from Season 3 was Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sawyer, the last 4 remaining candidates.
