and yes my first yup was a mistake on my part because the covers are almost identical but you still could have scrolled down in that first link to see that the release date was not today... therefore not the soundtrack I was referring to.

Yeah, I get that, I really do.

I'm going back further. If you had just said "nope" instead of sarcastically saying "yup" in post #5876, we'd be past this:

Soundtrack is being released today. :rock

Yup..........

**resisting urge to post something sarcastic**

:wave

Anyway...

Season 6 soundtrack is being released today. Thats the news.

Now you may return to your previously scheduled snarky mood day. :) :wave

:gah:

Anyhoo I am going to crawl back to my hole and grumble snarkily.

*grrrrrrrrrumble............ grrrrrrrrrumble...........*

:dump

If it makes you feel better, I hereby proclaim myself an idiot for not scrolling down to see the release date. :lecture

Soundtrack is AMAZING.

Granted some people are pissed as the tracks only cover up thru "The Last Recruit" (Save for two bonus tracks that come from "The End"), which is a clear indication we can expect another Season 6 Soundtrack released later on (my guess would be around the holidays). People view this as a money grab by Disney to cash in on all their LOST bucks... but hey, I'm gladly forking it over. If we end up getting full, immersive rich tracks highlighting ALL of Season 6's work from Michael Giacchino I'm ALL for it!

I have all previous 5 Seasons Soundtracks, and while I haven't FULLY familiarized myself with EVERY track from "The Final Season", I feel fairly confident saying it is clearly the greatest collection of LOST's themes to date.

Its funny seeing how the moments that truly shine all come from episodes that truly shine. "LA X", "The Substitute", "Ab Aterno" and "Happily Ever After" are FULLY represented thru various tracks and they elevate this collection to "Must Have" status for any LOST fan.

Can't wait for the next release....!

Are you all keeping your order for the LOST encyclopedia, or have you cancelled?

It's apparently delayed until mid-October. Something about not really having a firm date since it's really about whenever it's printed and makes it out to distributers.

I bet sales hurt because of the delay. I won't be getting it anymore because I am past the LOST phase, show is over and done and it is time for me to move on.

From: https://www.sl-lost.com/2010/09/09/lost-encyclopedia-coming-in-mid-october/
Tara Bennett and Paul Terry, co-authors of the LOST Encyclopedia, have announced on their Facebook page that the book will hit stores in mid-October in the US, Canada and UK. The exact date has not been set yet:

Honestly there’s no exact date. It’s when they make it from the printer to the warehouses for delivery so it’s not like a DVD release which is a hard date.

I kept my order. I hope it doesn't suck. I just want something that I can use as a reference to try and figure out who links with who and when what happened to the who now.

So, I'm about half-way thru my rewatch.

Remember when there were those crazy rumors that Expose was supposed to be some metaphor for the show itself?? And the structure of the Expose TV show was supposed to to draw parallels with the larger mythos??

That worked out well, din'it??
