I think Walt was special the same way Desmond was special. I think the others (Jacob) were interested in him because at that point, Jacob didn't know who is "failsafe key" was. The way in which birds flocked to Walt and end up dying around him indicates he could have had some abnormal electromagnetic outputs; signals that would attract the birds, and ultimately, confuse and destroy them.

The one thing I always thought was being ever so hinted at throughout the show.... something I always loved to view as truth... AND something I wished the show had done (AND something that would have been such a great way for them to solve the problem they had with aging Malcom David Kelly) was that Matthew Abaddon was Walt.

Now that we've seen the epilogue, we know that Walt goes back to the Island with Hurley and Ben. Who's to say Walt does not grow up on the Island with Hurley and Ben an grow up to be Matthew Abaddon (Matthew Abaddon is to Walt as Jeremy Bentham is to John Locke) and with the islands history of Time Travel, travels back in time per Hurley's instructions and interacts with the Oceanic Six and Locke. Think about that watching the scene between Hurley and Abaddon. ESPECIALLY the scene between Locke and Abaddon when he's pushing him down the hallway in the hospital. It also adds an interesting point to Locke and Abaddon's seemingly pointless visit to Walt. I wish this had panned out. Not like a full on "I'm Walt" moment from Abaddon... but imagine if while sitting in the car at the cemetery with Locke, Locke had asked him something while frustrated. Like who are you? How do you know yadda yadda yadda..... Abaddon could smile knowingly at Locke and say "Can you keep a secret...?" And as Locke looks at him puzzled... BANG... Abaddon is shot...

Regardless, I still like to think of Abaddon as Walt. Thoughts?

Maglor mentioned the discs says only Region A but i want this Set so bad that i refuse to accept that i can't play these as i live in europe. Can anyone else check for me please? :)

I've heard conflicting reports Rock. Some people are saying they're all region free, some people are saying that only seasons 1,2,5 and 6 are, and some people are saying they're all region A locked. :(

In the complete set all the discs from ALL the seasons have a big "A" on them. :dunno

That sucks, even the Extra "Hidden" cd?

I wouldn't care if i had a region free BR player but i don't,i have a PS3 bought here.

I saw the UK release of this set on amazon.co.uk but people are allready saying the BR quality is crap compared to the US one,you never know.

I seriously hate the Region crap,WTF is the point really?Make it region free and everyone's happy :slap

Finished watching Season 1. It's funny seeing the "questions" at the end of each disc. It's kinda like a time capsule, remembering what the pressing issues of the series were at the time. There was a "will they or won't they?" question about Sayid and Shannon. . . like "Really?!?! Was that important back then??"

There was a commentary on the episode with Boone and Shannon in which the writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach said that none of the writers knew what the smoke monster was, like they had no idea. haha. I don't know, maybe Damon and Carlton knew but they just didn't tell anybody.

Would love a super high res 16 x 9 version of that! :)

The Man in Black/Jacob at the top makes it.

Thanks! :hi5:

Got it as my wallpaper right now! :yess:

Could have been a little bit higher res for my 27 in, but looks awesome from normal viewing distance!

That is pretty slick. It's almost got a painted look to it. It's got so much going on in it, I didn't see it all until I saw the hi-res.
