Solid episode. I am gonna be real frustrated after the 8 episodes are done thou.

Yeah, they rammed that Eli show commercial down our throat. And, tried to get us to watch it with the Oceanic Airlines teaser...

(I'll wait to see it online...the teaser, not Eli)

I left the preachy Eli show on as I did other things, the Oceanic commercial was basically a tie-in to the find815.com website. I just finished the last task of chapter 5 before the premiere. Sam found the 815 wreckage! Now if it was the actual wreckage or planted there by Widmore to throw people off from finding the island... who knows?

I thought tonights episode was great. At first I was ticked it was going to be ANOTHER Jack Flashforward, but then I was thrilled it was really Hurley's.

Points of interest:
-Hurley seeing and communicating with the Dead? Or just crazy?
-Something is secret on the island (are you going to tell them?).
-Only 6 get off, but sounds like some where still there alive and Oceanic wants to know where it is.

Where did those old Civil War banners go? Because I'm with Locke.

I don't get the feeling the guy that visited Hurley was an attorney with Oceanic...he said he was but he didn't get Hurley a business card and Hurley started freaking out and the dude was pretty creepy asking Hurley if "they" (those left on the island maybe?) were still alive.

I guess I should have said "Oceanic." I too don't think he was realy with them. "I left them at home" :lol No good businessman or lawyer goes anywhere without them.

So the real question then is: WHO wants to know? Maxwell Group?

It's funny--I might have watched Eli Stone if they hadn't shown so many commercials. I was sick of it by the end of the hour of Lost and wanted nothing to do with the show after being overexposed with all those ads over and over.

So how does future Hurley get future Jack so convinced to return to the island in the amount of time it takes to grow a beard?

Thought the episode was pretty good... thought it was weird how the Flashforward started with Jack and then switched to Hurley. Also, Season 4 did not star with an eye...instead a bunch of melons.

Loved seeing appearances from HBO stars from The Wire, Band of Brothers and next week The Sopranos.

Here is a list of episode titles with their centric characters...

1) The Beginning of the End - Hurley
2) Confirmed Dead - Multi Cast
3) The Econimist - Sayid
4) Eggtown - Kate
5) The Constant - Desmond
6) The Other Woman - Julliet
7) Ji Yeon - Sun/Jin
8) Meet Kevin Johnson - Michael

The "lawyer" who visited Hurley said his name was Matthew Abaddon. Abaddon is Hebrew for "destruction" or "abyss." In the book of Revelation, Abaddon is the name given to the king of the locusts.

They don't choose character names on Lost by accident.

Anyway, the rest of the world (if we go by what Naomi said last season) thinks that Oceanic 815 crashed into the ocean and is full of bodies. So six people survived, and presumably have been lying about the fates of the rest of the passengers. I guess the lying that future Jack is tired of involves hiding the fact that everybody else is not dead at the bottom of the ocean in the wreckage of the plane. I assume that they aren't telling the truth to protect the people who stayed behind on the island...

I loved the image of drowning Charlie with "They Need You" written on his hand.

Lots of new questions. No way they're going to get to half of this in 8 episodes.

Obviously something happens that the Oceanic 6 agree to keep secret... a decision Jack makes and regrets (other than calling the ship). does he kill or leave stranded some of his friends?

Why does Hurley regret going with Locke? could he have prevented Jack from making this mistake?
Who is the Oceanic lawyer really? Most likely he works for Widmore. Why does he want to know if "they" (those left on the island?) are still alive?

What causes Jack's depression and desire to return to the island? presumably the secret he wants Hurley to keep begins to weigh more heavily on him for whatever reason.

Why can the other guy in the mental institution see Charlie?

Despite the appearance of Christian Shepard in Jacob's cabin, I still think Jacob is someone else, that the eye that popped in the window was actually Jacob.

Abaddon... cool.

I agree with that logic Tom.

In the third season finale, future Kate wants to leave Jack at the airport because "he" will be wondering where she is. It would be much better to find out who "he" is by watching the show, not reading about it in advance, so stay away from spoilers if at all possible.

But if you want a clue--he was on the plane.

Interesting. Blows the whole kid theory away. Still leaves the Sawyer possibility (though that one doesn't seem surprising enough). I assume this person is one of the other Oceanic 6... Sayid? I assume you stumbled upon this spoiler online somewhere? Do you know if they're going to reveal it in the next few episodes?

Loved last night's episode. It's good to have some shows to watch on tv, finally.

My question is, if Hurley went with Locke, then why is he back in the regular world and part of the Oceanic 6?

Lots of easter eggs in last night's episode as well.

Man, after one episode again, I'm hooked.

My questions are pretty much what everybody already said. but did you notice when hurley was talking to jack he said:

"It wants us to come back." He mentioned the island like it is alive, like it has a consciousness. Found that interseting.

And Jacob was SOOOO jack's father, but who was the guy that popped out from the windows, which freaked the crap out of me by the way.

From the sounds of it, the "6" either made some sort of deal to get off the island in exchange for not telling anybody what happened to them (which is odd, how jack would leave everybody) and everybody else was left alive on the island while they left; or everybody died and only 6 got off the island somehow

Is there any chance that the eye in Jacobs house, might be Jacks? I know it sounds crazy, but it is LOST after all.

I found it strange that Hurley was able to make the house and Charlie "dissappear". I'm thinking that Hurley plays a much major role in this thing than previously thought. I wonder if the entire series is just the visions of a crazy Hurley in the nut house??

DONT EVER SAY THAT !!!! If it was, I'm going to kill somebody. But I think it was already dismissed that it wasn't somebody's dream or anythign like that. The island seems to send people "visions" when they need them to motivate them to do something or another. I think this was another one of those times.

I have often wondered that, but I don't think so. I think MANY people would be more than PO'ed if that's what it turned out to be.

I'm pretty sure the eye was Jacob and Jack's Dad was just in the room with him. Also remember, in Jack's flashforward last season he at one point said that if he was drunker than his dad upstairs, they could fire him (or something along those lines). This could possibly mean Jack's dad really isn't dead, we never saw the body in the coffin afterall. I doubt he was refuring to "upstairs" meaning heaven either.

Yea, and when Jack was trying to get more Oxycotin, he said that he had his father's prescription pad. So either: A) his father's not dead or B) he used his father's prescription pad to get more drugs [which I wouldn't put past a drug addict, remember that jack got pissed off when the pharmacist tried to call it in to jack's father's office...maybe he got pissed is because there isn't one]
