Hurley mentioned Australia being the key to the whole game, what did he mean by that? Cryptic...

I was sooooo glad that Claire was ok after that rpg made splinters of the house. She is too HOT to die. Um, milf?

Amazing episode! I love Ben. Sooooo much happened. Action, drama, plot revelations. great stuff!

My favorite part was when all of the bullets were flying past Sawyer and hitting the 3 random suckers... (kind of cheesy) The episode was awesome.

That was the one unintentional chuckle I got out of the episode.

By the way--Ben's Dharma parka had the name HALLIWAX on it. That is the name by which the doctor identified himself in the Orchid video that was previewed at SDCC last year and which can be found in the season three boxed set. It involves a Dharma rabbit apparently unexpectedly time/space travelling and almost causing a good old fashioned Back to the Future paradox by encountering its counterpart self. They were experimenting on rabbits (and later polar bears) at some point before circumstances led Ben to take a little trip through space and time to the Sahara Desert. Things just keep getting more and more interesting on this show.

With all the gunfire going on, I thought it was really stupid for those people to run out into the open.

It's like, "OMG! gun shots! Let's run outside!"

There's so many twists...so is Charles Whitmore the original "discoverer" of the island? Did he set up the Dharma Initiative that Ben took away?

That's the way I figure it. Whitmore discovers the island. Forces the natives into hiding and Ben helps the natives take control again and run Whitmore off so he loses the location of the island.

I am still in shock after last night episode. It was just amazing on so many levels.

I know that little scientist dude on the island keeps on saying stuff about time and how it's relative.

That and Ben's question about the year last night sure points to some kind of time travel or time distortion when traveling to and from the island. Also the Desmond moments where he was all of a sudden living in the past.

So why can't Ben kill Whitmore? It was late and I was tired, I have to re-watch it, but I got the impression that Whitmore and Ben were playing a game of sort s and they just kep upping the ante? Anyone else get that impression?

me & a buddy of mine were saying the same thing..........because ben refers to "changing the rules" twice in the episode. so it is some type game or an agreed upon rule of engagement in their own personal war. whidmore broke a gentleman's agreement (i use the term gentleman loosely) by having ben's daughter killed so thusly ben pledges to off penelope. :google

That's the impression I got too but it's got to be more than that you'd think.

I also enjoyed that FINIALLY ben is no longer playing mind or word games, the gloves have finially come off. No more playing around and time for action. FINIALLY !!!!!!

I still think of Ben as a bad guy, he's just a "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" villain right now.

Definitely a manipulator and one step ahead, except for his daughter of course. It was nice to see someone finally get the best of Ben though and catch him off guard.
