LOTR 12" line not dead...

Bottom line is that SS has too many lines competing with each other.

That does seem to be the problem. And why would they focus on a line that doesn't make as much money?

Well . . . the good news is that LOTR is finally easing on my wallet. Perhaps this will make me do one of 2 things: force my collecting habit into a slow withdrawal (likened to an addiction) or make me compliment it with other collectible lines (GG and Marvel and SW notwithstanding).

I do admit that the ones they've released to date on the 12" line is outstanding, and I've made a section for them already (they do nicely blend with the SS/W 1/6 statues), and if that's all they release then it's been a good one.

SDCC indeed will be the determining factor. And based on the previous posts, even though SW has less clothing material, I'm fully aware that LOTR is costing more to release, and I don't mind the extra charge for the non-skimping that SS has done to date.

As much as I hate to agree, I agree. Which really sucks because I was just looking at my collection and thinking how I'd buy just about anything LOTR related. Sideshow, you are losing out on my money and I'm sure lots of others here.

SDCC will provide the final word on this line. If there is no 12" LOTR figure being shown, then sadly the Fellowship has failed, Sauron regains the ring and his victory will be so complete that none can foresee the end of it while this world lasts...

There 1/6th scale LOTR line is all I collect from them, so its pretty simple for me. If they cancel this line they wont get any more of my money.
