I'm dying to add a bunch of LOTR figures to my collection. My hopes are high for SDCC, please don't let me down......:lol

Your trust will be paid off... in spades :monkey3 LOTR will rock at SDCC :rock

(Disclaimer: maybe I should say *planning* to rock because, well, as I've explained in posts past, you just never know until the actual day! SO many factors... but I *can* say that there are a couple of cool things up our sleeve, and the line is far from dead...)

Heaven hears my prayers! And an angel comes bearing tidings of joy and happiness!

Dusty you are the best. THE BEST. You see my friends? There is light and beauty that no evil can touch!

Hope is kindled!

I also have it on good authority that the PF line will be seeing some amazing stuff in the future..... I DON'T have any details (apart from what we already know) so please don't ask, I've just heard that there are some fantastic pieces in the pipeline.... :)

So, who wants to start guessing as to what we'll see at SDCC?

I bet they'll show the Gandalf PF. As for the 1/6 line, I'm gonna say Gandalf the Gray, Saruman, and to introduce a new body, Frodo too. I know it's pretty intense to guess for three figures, but I trust Dusty, and after the slew of Star Wars figures last year, I bet we get at least two, though I'm feeling three. Crazy, huh? But then, I did guess (well, plead) for Faramir back when they started this line, so I think we could see three figures. I sure hope so! And I bet they'll be more careful in production because of Faramir (too bad he of all people had to be the misfortunate one. Go figure).

Oh, I do hope they give us a 1/6 GTG. That would be really cool! I have a little custom item I'd like to make for him.;)

I wouldn't pass up an Elrond either...or Gimli.

I think Captain Faramir's guesses are good ones.

It would not surprise me to see Gandalf the GREY (please!), Saruman, and perhaps Gimli or one or two of the hobbits. Any of the new smaller bodies deserve to be debuted at such a huge venue such as SDCC.

If we see any of the new smaller bodies, I will definitely believe that the 12" line is not on life-support.

The SDCC comment by Dusty has me thinking that it might be bigger and better than we might anticipate. Last year, Jabba made everyone stand up and take notice of the SS Star Wars line. Maybe this year will bring a Cave Troll for the LOTR line. Probably wishful thinking, but I would be happy to see GTG in 1/6, as well as a hobbit or two. Thanks for rekindling hope Dusty.

I Don't think we will be all that surprised.

We'll see GTW PF, The new Dio.. probably a 2nd one. We'll see Faramir and one of the chicks. and that's about it.

We will not see 12" Hobbits or GTG... if we do I'll eat a SS hat!

I have a feeling you're right. GTW PF, the Aragorn Helm's Deep dio, and only 1 new 12" figure which I hope is GTG and not Arwen or Eowyn. I really doubt we'll see Hobbits and a 1:6 Cave Troll is just a pipe dream.

So certain are you? I have a feeling deep inside that there will be something nobody expects but that everybody is hoping for. We just might be more surprised than we can imagine. One thing I know, the 1/6 line will not be forgotten. I know I'm the perpetual optimist--but you never know when something amazing might happen . . . :D

After SS dropping Jabba on us last year. I expected the unexpected.
Ya who knew that we would ever get something as big as Jabba.Certainly not me. This year hopefully we get something just as cool and big for LOTR. Here's to something unexpected.:duff

I have to side with Captain Optimism, oops, I mean Captain Faramir! I think that SS will unveil some big things for LOTR at San Diego. The line hasn't been moving at a rocket pace, but a big announcement would go a long way to reinvigorate things.
