So certain are you? I have a feeling deep inside that there will be something nobody expects but that everybody is hoping for. We just might be more surprised than we can imagine. One thing I know, the 1/6 line will not be forgotten. I know I'm the perpetual optimist--but you never know when something amazing might happen . . . :D

I can feel it too ...

Ya who knew that we would ever get something as big as Jabba.Certainly not me. This year hopefully we get something just as cool and big for LOTR. Here's to something unexpected.:duff

Preach it brother!! :duff

Yeah, I'm with you guys, we could be in for something juicy. Something of Jabba proportions would be just what we need to keep the line alive.

We've heard no talk of 1/6 horses but a Nazgul as The Black Rider(s) would be awesome as well as Eomer on Firefoot.

Thinking Smaller, actually, I hope they've figured out how to do the Hobbits, at 1/6 these guys should be in scale and really small. Hobbits are, to some, the original keystone to both The Hobbit (obviously) and The Lord of the Rings and I hope they do something special for them.
Back to something wild, perhaps having Gandalf's cart for Frodo, maybe Bill the Pony for Sam, Bilbo with perhaps his writing desk, etc.

In any case, we're starving for more! Bring em on!

I am really hoping for a Cave Troll, as I have been missing him since I sold him last year to buy an engagement ring, but I think if SS were to display hobbits or horses, it would mean a great deal more for the line. Hobbits would be great to get Frodo/Sam/Pippin/Merry/Bilbo in their Shire gear, and somewhere down the line, we could get Frodo and Sam in orc armor, Merry in Rohan togs, Pippin in Faramir's hand-me-downs, and super-old Bilbo. Horses would mean a lot too, with Brego, Shadowfax, Asfolath, Nazgul Steeds, the Mouth of Sauron's horse, etc...

I am just glad that most of the characters with spotty/stubbly beards are done. Most everyone else had more consistent facial hair than Aragorn and Faramir, and I expect the quality to rise with everything else that is still to come for this line.

I also have it on good authority that the PF line will be seeing some amazing stuff in the future..... I DON'T have any details (apart from what we already know) so please don't ask, I've just heard that there are some fantastic pieces in the pipeline.... :)

Not trying to be a wet blanket but whatever nice words they use... amazing, fantastic, big, cool etc... may not always be 100% the same to us. I mean I know we will accept possibly everything since there has been no new announcements except for the Gandalf PF.

But we can't really use those words to guess or gauge what are they coming up with. Afterall which company will describe their upcoming products as not so amazing or ordinary or boring? Everything will be described well, it's marketing!

To end the post, I'm excited to hear there is some LOTR to look forward to in SDCC. Thanks dusty for the hint. :D

as long as there are new announcements other then Dio's (the only LOTR item I'm not getting).. then I'll be happy!

oh and as far as PF's in the pipeline... Here's looking to a wonderful 2010!!! :drink

I also; I'd be very surprised if we got anything before SDCC at this point.

Dusty said our trust would be paid off in SPADES just a week ago. All good things to those who wait, mates!
Maybe, but then again, that was kind of the same story we got just before the dio line was launched, and the flagship piece for that line was anything but exciting.

I'm not getting my hopes up this time. If something happens, great. If not, then at least I won't be as heartbroken as those who think we will be getting a whole bunch of major announcements at SDCC.

Skeptically yours,
RoboDad ;)

I know there will be something wonderful there, but it's just a feeling in my heart. But take courage! Soon enough will shall see.
