Love the idea, except that Pippin should be singing for Denethor. :lol :monkey3

Really though, I hardly imagine that SS would produce them all being from the same sequence; assuming that we would only get one PF per character (could you imagine how long it will take to see doubles) they/we would want some more variety.

The Gandalf the Grey PF absolutely needs to be wearing his hat, which he didn't have during the Moria battle.

I wholeheartedly agree, though I am concerned how that will actually turn out.

Why? I'm sure they will put a wire in it to keep it's shape.

Well primarily for the way it will sit on a fully sculpted head. Clothing is conceivably much easier to get right, because it doesn't have to sit on top, but covers the body.

I guess a close-up of Van Helsing :)o ), may relieve my concerns.

I got ya. I'm not really worried about that. I'm sure SS can do something to make it work or they can go with like Weta did and go with a sculpted hat.

I think it would look a bit odd with a sculpted hat though, seeing as though he will have clothing.

Just announce him already ... then we can debate! :lol

As someone coming in a bit late to this conversation, I was wondering if the LOTR PF line is for those who have already collected the Weta pieces or more of a new entry line to those who missed the Weta pieces.

I really didn't start collecting LOTR till a year or so ago, concentrated more on Comic Statues and Star Wars, so my polystone pieces are pretty slim pickings, I have the hobbit busts, a few misc busts and a smattering of the larger statues: Gandalf on Shadowfax, Eowyn, King of the Dead and The Morgul Lord.

I'm hoping they do the fellowship beacause its the iconic characters most recognized from the movie and books, I agree some of the others may look more exciting but to those who missed out on the Weta polystones, this is the line I'd prefer to collect (PF's). But I understand that people who already have a Aragorn, Gandalf, Legolas, etc... would prefer someone like Faramir who never had a polystone.

It's a line all to itself. This I don't believe is SS way of fixing anything that was missed during the SSW days.

Would Gandalf's hate be gray or blue? In the books it's blue, but in the movie it's a little grayish. The figures seem to be based on the movies, but I would like a nice blue hat.

Well, they may have used a cloth with a little blue tent. PJ said he used different colors for the Fellowship cloaks depending on the lighting.

I had that feeling, some scenesit was grayish, while in some blueish. I would prefer a more obvious blue, like the SSW Hat, if there were to be a PF.

It's a completely different format than the SS/W pieces and I agree that we need all of the fellowship (except Merry, there's just something about Merry...)

I didn't "miss" the SS/W statues - I just wasn't interested. But PFs are extremely appealing to me. I don't expect or really want the depth of the Weta line though - I can't imagine a 1/4 scale Sauron as the 1/6 scale is huge enough.

That would be why. I thought that was interesting.

You're right we just plain and simple need them!! All of them including Merry. :lol

Well, depending on how Frodo turns out, that will determine whether or not I continue this line. It's just too expensive to spend money on when it isn't 100% IMO. If I'm not happy with him, he goes back and I'm done with the PF line. It's really that simple. I love Lurtz, but this one has got me worried and I don't have money to waste at this time in my life.

I agree you should be 100% happy with your purchase. I think once Frodo gets here everyone will be just fine.
