The arms do seem a bit long, but there are people like that. He is actually built a lot like my brother. He has LONG arms too. The long arms don't look bad if you have his arms bent at all.
Natrix said:I received mine today as well and I have to say that NONE of the pictures I have seen do this sculpt justice. In person, the paint apps are perfect and the sculpt doesn't look like the "puckered fishface" or "deer in the headlights" as I have seen it being described. It actually kind of has a determined, using the force look. Please, see it in person before making blanket statements about the pictures of the sculpt.
I do have three problems with the figure though....stuck joints, overly long arms and too many display options. I fixed the stuck elbow and wrist joints. I can keep switching how he is displayed but can't do anything about the arms.
Anyway, I love everything about the figure despite the overly long arms. I can not wait for the rest to come out!

Mortar Conn said:While I've always been a 1/6 SSC fan, I've never been a big fan of their bodies: too tall, trouser/hip fit, general proportionality issues, etc. As a long-time 1/6 hobbist, I've found DML and BBI bodies are better in these regards. I may switch out my Luke SSC body for a Dragon or BBI 3.5 frame, though I haven't decided for sure yet.QUOTE]
I agree wholeheartedly with you there re-SSC bodies... also I find I can create more dynamic poses on something like a Dragon & BBI body too. BBI's earlier 1.0 bodies are useful too plus, with the taller Dylan 'Andromeda' Hunt variant, you can get a bit of extra height where necessary too.

Nice comparison, EVILFACE. I wouldn't mind seeing more shots next to other Sideshow figures. Anyone? I need to live vicariously through you guys until my Luke arrives.EVILFACE said:Well Luke is awesome. Not much else to say that hasn't been said. Heres a pic for a scale with a future Vader.
wookilar8 said:You must understand how important it is that Luke be a great figure. It is the first of many Star Wars figures that SSC will release. For people not sure if they're going to collect this line, this figure will make or break the deal. SSC needs this line to kick ass because so much is invested in it's success. In my opinion the strength in this line will keep SSC at the top for a long long time.
Also, LOTR won't hurt them either. These two lines, along with their PF, will be the foundation that continues to keep them at the top of the heap.
