Phone up Sideshow customer service and see if they will transfer the flex payments to another figure...you never know.

I transferred a NRD from one figure to another: they gave me my one 'mulligan'

Well yeah, that was my point. I think collectors are changing their habits and adapting to the "new market"...

After all, 4 figures are going to cost you about 1 grand.



It's going to be about $2,000 just to get all 7 heroes from ANH (w- SS robots) plus Vader and a stormtrooper.

I am sure Pixel is getting it, as he just loves SSC.

I still have this on order. I am concerned though and thankfully ordered prior to the NRD. The only other human sculpt from SS I have in my collection is New Hope Ben. I actually love that figure. Hoping this one is passable. I love my SS Tusken Raiders, Stormies, R2 and Boba Fett as they do armored and alien figures quite well.

Everything else about this release looks good accessories, outfit etc. but the sculpt and paint app is something from 6 or 7 years ago. This could of passed for a HT figure around 2008 time. The eyes on todays Hot Toys are so life like unlike the eyes on this figure.

Good! I can't wait to see your in-hand pictures when you get this in for curiosity sake. I just shudder at the price of this release. It is an iconic look for Luke.

Yeah, not cancelled yet. Still holding out hope. The only reason I havent cancelled is that I love the looks of the OT pilots. I also planned on leaving the helmet on anyways. I probably will keep him.

The also have lower edition sizes now, thus making each figure more expensive to recoup costs. However, the recent super inflation of prices is inexcusable. These figures should be $115-150, with Pilot Luke at the lower end of that.

How do you know they are lower? I dont think they say the edition sizes. There is no way figures will be $100 - 150. The license is way to much money now.

I wouldn't buy this if it was the only 1/6 scale Luke on the planet. SS has to know this level of quality for the price is unacceptable.

I got the Hoth figures at a discounted price off of the $199.99 retail price, but at $239.99, I don't know if any discount they may pony up for this will be able to intice me to buy this fella.

This is a bit of a game-changer for me. If Sideshow hasn't figured this out by now, they never will. They've had so many shots at this - but clearly there isn't the will to improve. It just isn't a priority. Even as prices go from $140 to $240 in just a few years.

This one is a step back from the Hoth figures, almost back to Drake. You simply can't compete in the current 1/6 marketplace with this - and at $240 no less. "Lesser" companies like DID consistently deliver far superior product. With this figure it has crossed over into delusional and insulting - as if they think people are stupid enough to accept this for that amount of money.

I guess HT will do the Luke Snowspeeder soon enough and I'll get that. What sad outcome for a company that had so much on the table.

I am also now hoping for a hot toys snowspeeder luke, it's the only shot of getting a presentable pilot luke in the next couple years. The gap between proto and production is so egregious that I hope those that ordered with nrd are returned their money if they decide to cancel it. SSC should be ashamed of that paintwork. And the price.
