I'm now no longer the proud owner of a Sideshow Luke X-Wing Pilot.

I went to work on him with a lump hammer. He was surprisingly tough and put up a good fight.

Is this from the deleted scene when he didn't get clear from the Snow Speeder in time.

The Hot Toys sculpt looks pretty damn good on this. If only the sculpt by Sideshow would have been better they'd have had a good release on their hands. Still might be worth getting at some point.

Who knows how many they made, but the Hoth figures were still around by Spook/Black Friday, but only Han got a sale, I think.

Yeah I'm loving him so much now. This is the Farmboy sculpt. I decided on this one since the ST disguise has the sweaty paint job. As far as putting it on goes, yeah it just pops right on. However, it is quite loose on the Sideshow ball peg. No issues posing it though, it'll stay in place fine. Just not as tight as it would be with a Hot Toys ball peg.

The HT head is definitely essential for this guy.

No it's from that other deleted scene where he was cutting his toenails with his lightsaber.

Anybody know how the process for sending replacements works?

I didn't receive any confirmation email after sending photos to the Return Department, but I did receive an automated email this morning telling me that my original Luke X-Wing order had been cancelled.

I actually prefer the look of the SS head over the HT one on this figure. The HT face lil feminine on. May buy this after all.

I tend to agree with you, with the helmet on.

However, if you want to display with the helmet off the HT farmboy sculpt is the way to go. It looks better than the Stormtrooper sculpt in my opinion.

i as well like the ss head. i think with a repaint on the eyes and hair it will pop! thats what im doing anyways. also think putting xwing luke on a slim body will help it hang more like it did in the movie. the stock body looks a bit too big.

I prefer the straight on eyes. Same sculpt, sure, but that small difference with the eyes changes it quite a bit.
