I love Dave Letterman's Top Ten on why Max is Mad. :lol

Guys if any of you have the opportunity to see Max in D-box tonight I strongly recommend that you do it. I just checked showtimes for tomorrow in my area and sure enough Tomorrowland will be bumping Max out of those auditoriums.

I didn't know what I'd think of the "gimmick" but from very first few seconds of the movie when my seat started rumbling in perfect synchronization with the revving of the engines as the WB logo came up I knew I was going to be in for one hell of a ride. It was incredible. Do it if you can! Not an experience that will be able to replicated at home anytime soon!

Probably. :lol

The seat would lean forward every so slightly to give you just a bit of vertigo if it was doing a big aerial shot with no action. And then of course for moments like when Max was swinging across the screen on that pole as the massive tanker exploded behind him the chair would lean way left and then move to the right as he passed. I assumed the chair calibration would be the most distant of afterthoughts but somebody did a damn good job of syncing the movements to the action on screen.

Stunts today are mostly wired events now with cgi removal.

RW days are over.

I'm fine with that. The illusion is often the same and hey if a wire snaps the stuntman/actor's life would still be in peril. :)

And lots of movies did wires even in RW's day, the difference was that back then you could usually spot them if you knew where to look. :lol

Just got back from watching it. Must say its pretty jam packed with adrenaline 98% of the movie, I was on the edge of my seat most of the time, like riding a roller coaster :lol

but for me personally the movie fails to show a bit more of a backstory with each characters, specially max with those flashbacks. And also bout the war boys. Is it just me or does anybody feel a bit of 'Bane' whenever max talks. It kinda feels a bit of a Bane before he puts his mask on. Immortal Joe lead a pretty good life though, with so many wives to choose from. :lol

Thank God! You saw that video. We would have probably had 5 or 10 fatalities on the set of Fury Road if they tried to do it Road Warrior style, with guys running full speed into each other, hoping to safely land on piles of cardboard boxes :lol

And we'd never have all those great "actor" stunts like Cruise hanging on the cliff in MI2 or the plane in MI5 or Hardy upside down outside the War Rig, etc., without erasable wires.

For Jye

We Talked to the Dude Who Plays a Flame-Throwing Guitar in

"And the guitar really shot flames?
Yeah, it was gas and it was controlled by the whammy bar."

Urban Dictionary: doof

Also has Vice's interview with Miller.

I would've liked the guitar dude more had they made him play Screaming for Vengeance from Judas Priest. :lol

Had he actually done something with his guitar it would've been cool, maybe kill a warrior woman or 2.

You and I could be stunt men today. :lol

There was one scene where it was 100% Bane. :lol

This is very true. :lol

Oh come on the flying guitar got the best 3D "pop out" effect of the movie. :lol

Like when he saw the approaching horde and said, "Time to go mo-BYLE." :lol His voice did go a bit robotic a couple times which I could see people easily equating with Bane.

That's the scene. :lol

Also at times when he was wearing the mask it reminded me of Gerard Butler for some reason.
