The cheaper the tickets the more willing to travel one should be, no? I mean, if the tickets were $100 you would buy them and drive further? :lol

I drive about 20 miles to get to Rockies games. When I lived in San Jose I drove about an hour to get to either the Giants and A's. If you like the team thats not too far to go.

I think the bigger problem is Florida is just not a professional baseball (or any sport really) state.

I've actually had season tickets for 3 years and made the 45+ drive consistently, but it's crazy that the owners not consider that when the attendance is so low. Instead of giving them their own stadium they got a discount re-using the Thunderdome, and now that the Rays are performing they're still not considering moving them to--TAMPA??

No point taking continuing this discussion if spending ten bucks on your team is too much for you. Rays will be moved soon to a city who appreciates them anyway.

You're not far off if the statements the owner of the team made after they lost to Texas are true. Seems as though he is fed up with the area is ready to move along soon if need be.

Get ready for the Charlotte/Portland/San Antonio Rays to take the field in 2017.:lol

I've had no problem driving from Tampa to Orlando to see the Magic in the past. In my case I grew tired of having to take off work early for most of the Rays' games because I'd have to sit in rush hour traffic in 2 cities just to get to the door. Too much of a hassle when I can just watch the game in my living room in my pajamas.

Seeing the average person is spending $15 in gas to go in the first place, drive across 3 interstates and 2 bridges, yeah it's ridiculous to expect the attendance to compare to the larger cities. Since you can't make that distinction maybe you shouldn't continue the discussion.

The cheaper your tickets are, and believe me they are dirt cheap :lol, the more willing the fans should be to travel. Please spare me the story about having to pay for gas and bridge tolls, the fans in the north east pay way more for everything and still show up to games even in the dead of winter.

MLB can't even get sunny Floridians to attend a game. The bottom line is that nobody in Florida cares about the Rays or the marlins for that matter.

This. :clap

I wonder how many times people have told you to "shut up" on various threads?

not many, one told me to leave another thread but didn't specifiy what irritated him, maybe because I asked him for money.

are you a Twins fan because they are not a good team. actually none of the pro sports teams in Minnesota are.

It's more than that. You're that guy who started the White Castle thread which got deleted by a mod. Apparently, you didn't learn the first time and restarted the same thread again before it was closed. :duh

"Quiggle again enlightened us about this lawsuit - a few people responded. I think this thread has served whatever little purpose it may have had." -Jen

You won't last long. I'll just say goodbye in advance. :wave

I was never explained why the original thread was deleted because it was a legitimate news topic that was discussed on various local news stations. I say goodbye to you too because you never know when the world will end but lets be positive and continue to pray for another fruitful day.

No explanation necessary. Perhaps you have no tact when you title a thread like this,

"ugly and fat lazy pig sues White Castle"

"yeah. i saw the thread title this morning and i was wondering who the hell would title a thread that way. then i saw who started the thread. no wonder it got axed. i'm guessing this one will too." -The Craw

as long as you're not like quiggle :rotfl

You're on the radar of more than one mod.

I'm tired of busting your ass, I'll just move on now. :wave

yah you should because its a little creepy if youre paying so much attention to me. we should go back to baseball and talk about who is singing the national anthem for game 1?

hopefully there will be rain in one of the games and delay/postpone it so it shuffles the rotation a bit then it throws all silly predictions out the window.

Quiggle us just pissed because his marlins didn't make the playoffs.

I am a Pirates fan and mark my word they will win a World Series before the Cubs ever do especially now that they have that tool Epstein running the show
