I am a Pirates fan and mark my word they will win a World Series before the Cubs ever do especially now that they have that tool Epstein running the show

LMAO! :lol:rotfl:lol

Pirates have been losers for 20 years. Why compare anything to the Cubs? They've been losers for 103 years.

Beatdowns will continue until your behavior changes. :thwak

I think the opposite. I think the Cubs have a better chance to win the World Series with Epstein in front office than the Pirates do at this point.

and you base that on what? hopefully not the Red Sox winning the titles in 2004 and 2007 because their teams were juiced, espstein will leave your payroll a mess and bail like he did with Boston.

It is what it is, and the Yanks never got ahold of Doc, all kinds of tricks up his sleeve.

hes a better AL pitcher and doesnt fare as well in the NL, neither does Lee. they should have not signed Lee and waited this season to chase Sabathia since he can pitch in both AL and NL.

Quiggle stop trolling already. Your antics are wearing thin across the entire board.

I dont consider myself a troll and my views can be just as disagreeable with the next poster but if you want to push me out then fine I will leave and post elsewhere where the community is more tolerable.

Nobody is trying to push you out. Its that almost all your posts come across trying to start something with someone. Chill out and relax and don't post inflammatory things.

I base it on the AAA team that the Pirates put on the field every year. I like your manager (Clint Hurdle) and feels that he gets the best he can out of the group of guys that he can. At least the Cubs have the resources to go out and sign guys to bring them to that pinnacle.

To me it seems like Huntington wants to copy the Rays blueprint in order to build a competing team every year. The problem with that is that you only get a certain shelf life with players (that you won't be able to resign when their contracts are up). Not sure if it is the best strategy to win a championship. You need the right blend of guys to actively compete on a yearly basis.

Ended up attending the NLCS games this year in my "birds on the bat" gear and wanted to share some thoughts -

- my heart goes out to Kabukiman and all the Brewer fans. Just remember that the playoffs are about who's hot at that time, and no one can take away your division crown. The Brewers had one heck of a season, and I hope they can sign Fielder and continue their playoff push next year.

- I was disappointed in Cardinal fans at Busch during Game 4. They were continually ragging on Morgan rather than cheering on the team to come from behind, and of course he was eating it up. Very disappointing experience, and Cards fans fell down a peg in my book.

- I was able to meet & chat (and score some autographs) of Ripken Jr and Boomer at Busch. Awesome guys that truly care about the fans.

- Lastly, this run has truly been a special gift for me, having lost our unborn daughter to Turner's Syndrome in late September/early October. You can never take away the pain you feel over a lost daughter, son or loved one, but at least baseball can offer a nice escape from reality, helping to lift your spirits for that brief moment in time.

It's kind of pathetic to see him get in LOADS of trouble on the spawn boards, and now the exact same thing seems to be happening here.

It's not the mods, or the members.

Two different boards, same problem.

Go CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:clap:clap:clap

No problem. :duff

My Dad is checking into if we can get tickets and if so how much it will set us back.

Keep checking stlcardinals.com. They should be releasing tickets slowly over the next couple of days.

If you end up going, shoot me a PM. I should be at both Games 1&2 (and 6&7 if it gets that far) with my son in tow. He's a youngling, so I won't be able to hit up any bars or anything, but maybe I can swing by your seats to say hi or something.

Go CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:clap:clap:clap

Bill, are you going to any of the WS games?

And yes, Go Cards!
