Ended up attending the NLCS games this year in my "birds on the bat" gear and wanted to share some thoughts -
- my heart goes out to Kabukiman and all the Brewer fans. Just remember that the playoffs are about who's hot at that time, and no one can take away your division crown. The Brewers had one heck of a season, and I hope they can sign Fielder and continue their playoff push next year.
- I was disappointed in Cardinal fans at Busch during Game 4. They were continually ragging on Morgan rather than cheering on the team to come from behind, and of course he was eating it up. Very disappointing experience, and Cards fans fell down a peg in my book.
- I was able to meet & chat (and score some autographs) of Ripken Jr and Boomer at Busch. Awesome guys that truly care about the fans.
- Lastly, this run has truly been a special gift for me, having lost our unborn daughter to Turner's Syndrome in late September/early October. You can never take away the pain you feel over a lost daughter, son or loved one, but at least baseball can offer a nice escape from reality, helping to lift your spirits for that brief moment in time.
