I really hope Zach Snyder at least considers Welling! I mean its smallville season 10, hes going to be Superman full on in may suit an all so i think its a good idea!

I am with Wofford, I think the soap star/pop star/pretty boy Superman does not do alot for me either

I think Hamm all the way with a dark undertone to the film would be good imo

Oh and very minimal re-design to the CR Superman suit also

Never watched Mad Men but he was great in The Town!

When the speculation of Hamm being lined up for the role started I originally thought maybe he was a tad old for the role but actually I can not think of anybody more perfect!

He does have a Ross look to him. I would be happy with this choice.

Hmm...

Don't believe this is the best way to go. Also think going Modern is wrong, this should be set in the late 30s, 40s or 50s, maybe something akin to the Max Fleischer era.

Yeah, I pointed that out before the Hamm love-fest started. I don't mind modern, but I'd rather have a villain we haven't seen on screen before.

Darkseid or Brainiac would be the best way to go. I would prefer that the movie is kept it in modern times but if they go the Alex Ross route with John Hamm, then 40s and 50s is ideal.

It's my thread, the Original title was The Man of Steel (see first post). When someone ELSE started a new Nolan Superman thread they were combined.

Or maybe a Mod just thought it was a good idea to change my thread title... I forget

It should've just remained as the original title. "Man of Steel" says it all, really. Then it wouldn't have to be changed every 5 minutes because it's in development hell.

I named it after what I thought would be the Movie title at the time I started the thread back in October 2007 3 years ago and as far as I know "The Man of Steel" is the Move Title.
