Superman isn't to blame for the civilian deaths. Anyone who decides not to recognize that is being deliberately obtuse. However the people of Earth won't necessarily see it that way and hopefully it is addressed in MoS 2.

He's to blame for all the bull**** after the ship gets sucked into the Phantom Zone.

But we have to do this argument again because jokes aren't allowed here. :lol

They specifically said he was responsible for triggering the beacon that brought Zod to Earth.

Exactly, but even then, how many civilians died? They let the pilots eject with Nam-ek in his face no less. I realize they were trying to preserve a rating, but were people supposed to be dying off screen?

By that logic Thor brought the Chitauri to earth, the Tesseract is Asgardian after all.

Supes is not to blame for what happened in Metropolis, it wasn't his fault he was sent there but he sure did make it right.

:exactly::lecture:exactly:

Hell, he had every right to start that ship and send out a beacon to see if any of his kind were still alive, or at the very least learn about his ancestors.

The cube was already on earth for hundreds of years and had nothing to do with Thor himself. On the other hand, Clark actively inserted the key, triggering the signal.

Some people of earth will blame him for the destruction, because they will think zod only came because of him. Except the problem with that logic is its just as likely that zod would have found earth regardless since the kryptonian ship (fortress) was sending out signals. Had that happened and Kal wasn't here to protect earth from Zod, earth would now be new krypton. We can't assume that zod wouldnt find earth. That's the problem with blaming superman for any of the damage unless u subscribe to the belief that zod wouldn't have found earth. Based on the facts that the movie presented its seems more likely he would have found it. Yes he was looking for Kal however those signals would have been picked up eventually.

Moreover, if your willing to discount what you saw with your eyes and say that zod didnt cause most of the damage then blame Jor'el he is the one that sent Kal to earth. Do you blame the bomb for the destruction or the person who created the bomb and authorized the drop?? If anything Jor'el dropped the bomb.

Remember, Kal'el didn't chose to come to earth, like zod did. Once here he made every attempt to fit in and too not cause any damage. He even let his own father die to Not Interfere. Had zod never found earth there wouldn't be any destruction.

Yeah, what an evil twat he is for putting the key to his existence... that he's been carrying around with him since childhood... into the first hole that fits it. That was clearly an unquestionable act of pure malice. :lol

Opinions are opinions, but some people just twist **** to tro... for sake of discussion. :lol
