Well really all Zod knew was that apparently Kansas was safe. Who knows what weird strain of viruses could be found throughout the planet.

You think that if we found a new alien planet that we would just touch down in one specific area and then assume that that region applied for the entire world?
There are all kinds of diseases, flus, viruses, etc., that are region specific to our planet now.
We're talking about people capable of intergalactic travel with the capability of scanning even the smallest bits of DNA and a complete history of terraforming planets. Now take all that technology and add the fact that a member of their own race has no problem existing on the planet unaided and is not only sick, but has extraordinary powers. Or, you can overlook it in a fanboygasm and make 200 more excuses on how it worked for you.
That doesn't refute his argument in the slightest.
Sure it does, and it completely ignores the latest issue of why Zod would want to terraform a planet where he and the others could live as gods on, with the current atmosphere. If Kal-El was fine, and even capable of re-acclimating to a Kryptonian environment on their ship (a point Zod clearly makes after capturing Kal-El which would also suggest they're capable of acclimating to Earth's environment), and the fact that both Zod and Faora were fine after their exposure to the atmosphere, negates any paranoia of viruses, etc.

No it doesn't.
An it doesn't ignore the point, I explained it above.
Zod and their henchmen were fine cause they're adults, an adult body is more likely to be more resistant.
But they were planning on making more babies, there wasn't any warranty that the babies would survive on earth's environment, it's mentioned in the movie that Clark barely survived as a child, surely the progeny will be at risk, THAT'S why they're terraforming, and if they didn't terraform it would beat the purpose of them seeking the best for their people, they would be gods yes, but the next generations would be in danger.
Fixed.
People *****ed about the scientists in Prometheus taking their helmets off simply because their "machines" said it was okay and then when Zod refuses to be so reckless *he's* the idiot? Please.
Earth is an alien planet. Period. They couldn't even survive on their own planet. You think a militant whacko like Zod is going to take any chances with a new one?
If Kal-El survived the others would've. Zod's acclimation and insta-power-up at the end proved that.
So it turned out they were fine after a while making choking noises, that doesn't mean the babies would survive, in fact, most likely, they couldn't make more babies unless they terraformed.
No, that only means HE survived, there was NO warranty any other kryptonian baby would, not at all, in fact, the logical inference would be that most babies would die.
And the "insta-power up" doesn't prove that either.
Do you think everybody on earth is equally resistant to all diseases, viruses and bacteria?
They were all cloned from the same DNA. I'd imagine they altered it for sex, but other than that, they made it a point in the film to state that ALL were genetically engineered.
And if we were all clones from the same DNA, yes.
One person survived the Bubonic Plague for 33 years, I guess that means 14th century Europe was a great place to raise a family.
