Nowhere in the movie, I repeat, nowhere there's mention of such assumption, quit making excuses to find non existent plotholes.

The ONLY thing mentioned in the movie is that they're engineered to fit certain role in SOCIETY! They don't even mention if they are physically engineered on any level outside of that.

Just because they're an advanced civilization it doesn't mean they will have all the answers for everything :lol

So no, for starters, they weren't clones.

:exactly: Because nowhere in the movie are there rooms full of babies in chambers. :goodpost:

Ugh, here come the self acknowledgment smilies to support a non existent point :slap :lol

That doesn't mean they're clones, do you even know what a clone is? A clone is supposed to be identical, are they identical? No.

So for starters, there's no reason to think they're clones.

If they used that Kotex thing to gather Kryptonian DNA from to make children that are role-specific, what do you think that means?

But of course, when logic can't be refuted, one must recur to sarcasm :lecture:

We know that all Kryptonian DNA is infused in the Kotex and that they pull it from the Kotex to make Kryptonians. That was the whole reason Zod needed it. The Kotex contains the DNA of all their ancestors, not one man, but again, all, therefore, depending on which strand they pulled to create a role-specific embryo, the embryos would be a clone of that particular individual. Therefore, they wouldn't all look alike. :wink1:

I use sarcasm in place of common sense, because you're clearly lacking in that department. :huh

No, you use sarcasm to cover up you lack of argument, it's clear to me at this point.

If they're all clones, how is it that the codex contains the DNA of all the ancestors and future kryptonians? If they're all clones how come they don't use the SAME sample? Which is what clone means, IDENTICAL, let's say they use different samples from different people, which is not implied anywhere to be that way, since they even use the word: "template", a template is something pre-existing but it doesn't imply identical, period, It still beat your point that they would all survive earth because they would still be different people and not clones off each other, and that would also imply that Kal-El himself is a clone of an ancestor, which is downright a crazy unfounded assumption.

But bottomline is: the codex saves the genetic template of generations to come, it's even said in the movie, not only ancestors, and it only says they will fulfill a role in society, it's never mentioned any other modification other than that, so, unless they are the EXACT IDENTICAL INDIVIDUALS, they're not clones.

You know that saying about playing chess against a pigeon? You the pigeon.
