Got Superman the other day, and while I didn't hate the factory paint job, I didn't exactly love it either. So after overcoming my fear of completely screwing it up, I decided to do a repaint of the head and hands. Even with my moderate skills, I'm super happy with the results! Hope you guys like it.

been debating whether or not to pick this piece up. some photo's it looks pretty decent, particularly from side view. Can't decide between this or the kotobukiya man of steel statue which to get.

I think both have good points and both have bad, mainly the paint. But purely from a sculpt standpoint I think the DC Icon statue captures Cavills likeness better, especially with the repaints we've seen here.

Personally I prefer the stoic museum pose to the crouched Koto pose, actually I wouldn't mind owning both!

I like the Icons especially since I have the icons bats statue and he is standing so Supes would not look right in the crouch position, that's bats pose lol

I think kotobukiya did a much better job capturing Cavills likeness. The pose is bad *** too.

Anyone have in hand photos of Zod, Jor-El, and Faora? Looks like they are in stock at a lot of places now.

Here's my re-paint attempts, I tried to give Supes some texture so he wouldn't have that wax museum look but I think I overdid it... Oh well, it's my first try at repaints and I'm much happier with how they look now (and it was fun!) thanks TooManyFigures for the advice!

Just for comparison, here's how Supes looked new...

I repainted Bats face, gave him some color and stubble...
